Sorry no corpses in this one. I just wanted to call a little attention to the second flamestrike that I cast. It clearly blinded something, from the looks of it either the boar or the falcon because his panther didn't seem to be assisting and the flamestrike only hit three targets, the wounds clearly being Valox. From my understanding, a blinded charmie should not assist the master, but in the immediate next rounds after Valox re-initiates, both the falcon and the boar assist.

ah yes, flamestrike is a lesser version of fire breath, isn't it? I hate being blinded by the smoke that certain dragons breathe. Even the fire drake and fire ruler can be painful. Of course, Xanthak and Dame Valere are even more painful with the damage output, probably Edelia as well. (Edelia can do unspeakable damage to someone who lacks sanctuary WITHOUT using her breath weapon.)

I don't remember for certain, but wasn't it made so that the pets don't assist if the ranger is blinded?

I think a couple years back that change happened. Also affected blinded necromancers and illusionists, or anyone for that matter. In other words, the update as I understood it was that charmies (and possibly pets) don't assist when their master is blinded.
