I logged the over 2hr battle, but I am not going to sort threw the entire thing. That being said Valox is not pip for sure nor is he anyone that is highly highly skilled. Basically it is the same damn tactic of fight flee at big and nasty disappear and wait for you to make a mistake. There was one fight where he dirted my twice I was able to wield wield by bow hit him with wounding shot and like an idiot I waited for him to walk back into the room and I spammed murder and of course hes able to get away since he fled in the room away from me. Every damn time he fled dirted he fled the right way. I did get very lucky one time where I was running out of moves and some how he couldn't find me even though I was so close. All in all an unimpressive showing letting my sanc drop and just getting served in the end. God that was stupid always carry at least one or two purples in those cases. BTW I dunno why but I couldn't get 2 beasts the entire fight neither did he but that was strange.

All rangers I have ever fought land dirt kicks like high dex roques. That being said, if he was fleeing at big nasty, it is because he didn't want to die. Tactics. if your opponent has the upper hand at current then = Flee, reset, captailize on opponents mistakes.

Valox hits like a truck, lands dirts like a rogue, and knows when to run. I know, I have fought him too.

...Valox doesn't have high standards for his underlings, and doesn't seem to give a crap about what they know or master.

I think Olthrog the dk legion was pip. Pretty sure they were both in legion at the same time. Advice for fharino...if you land a wounding shot and they flee, follow them and attack. Spamming murder and hoping they walk back in is a percentage game(based on how many exits they have to choose from) you don't have to play if you just follow them and murder.

Frostburns, care to give specific examples of how Valox and pip as forsaken handle applicants/underlings differwntly? It sounds like you're just talking out of your ass.

Maybe I'm making the wrong assumption then. But from what I understood of pip, he didn't encourage ganking, and he doesn't accept someone who isn't ready to kill people training-wise. We've seen Legion ganking lately, and more often than not they're on together.

The ganking part is something I don't see pip encouraging let alone doing (then again, Valox hasn't been present too much). So that probably means little.

On the other hand, there was a log of Graulog failing to cast a spell against someone. And Ikaork missed me so many times with bodyslam in one engagement it made me laugh. I should have been DEAD and she missed one which could have sealed the deal (and missed several before that).

I think it depends on the legion, I've been ganked by some and purposely fought solo by others. Maybe the forsaken should crack down, maybe not. In the long run, as it has been said before, "if you want to change it, become the forsaken"

I don't play rangers, they are easy mode and any newb can win with them.

Plus I told everyone in Othrolg's post that I was done so you can rule me out of the question on everyone you fight.

Failing Spells happens, Ikaork is a FIRE so he already and always had bodyslam mastered so you got lucky there too. I've got plenty of masteries but then again i've been in legion longer than valox, but valox was impressively more badass than me.
