that a large, peculiar looking statue is being built here in the middle of
the square. Roads lead to the north and east, north to the temple square,
east is the main street.

The Temple Square
You are standing on the temple square. Huge marble steps lead up to the
temple gate. The ground is just dirt but there are plans to make the road
cobble stone. Just south of here you see a blooming market square, the
center of Midgaard.

The Temple Of Midgaard
You are in the southern end of the temple hall in the Temple of Midgaard.
The temple has been constructed from giant marble blocks, eternal in
appearance, and most of the walls are covered by ancient wall paintings
picturing Gods, Giants and peasants. Large steps lead down through the
grand temple gate, descending the huge mound upon which the temple is built
and ends on the temple square below. You notice that this building is quite
new. A small plaque is on this wall.

By the Temple Altar
You are by the temple altar in the northern end of the Temple of
Midgaard. A huge altar made from white polished marble is standing in
front of you and behind it is a ten foot tall sitting statue of Odin,
the King of the Gods. Hidden in the shadows of the great statue, a
small rope ladder slips through a hole in the dome. Following its
trail up, you can see the edges of a steep rock cliff.

Edge of the Jungle
The cries of wild fowl reach open ears, and a black speck of a bird flies
out of the jungle and into the intense desert heat. To the west lies a
barren wasteland, the unforgiving sun beating down upon all who happen to be
in range of its sizzling kiss. To the east, jungle stretches far and wide,
a mountain in the distance sporting a barren top with icy peaks. The cool
trees invite the mind, beckoning with their dew-dropped leaves.

Before you stands a rather tall and imposing figure, his eyes seeming to
glow with malevolent light. Long black hair hangs down his back slightly
framing his almost too pale face and his cheekbones are slightly high up on
his face. A slightly large nose to compliment his cold features, his full
lips twisted in a cruel smile as he turns it towards you. His black robes
seem to hide his build from your sight, and his hand is adorned with a black
ring.
He has just opened up his eyes to the world.
