Only my second fight as a necromancer. Can someone explain why my skeleton wasn't attacking when I ordered him to?

  1. Kapruski Oxyl vs Beazeldy -
    dont bother to order. they cant attack before you (as a nerf long ago against being able to stay out of combat), and if they can see the target, they will auto-attack.

    Ordering to attack is a waste of lag time afaik.
  2. Nadrin Oxyl vs Beazeldy -
    First off, in spite of the ordering failing, it also lagged you longer this his flee murder. Second off he dirt kicked you. Where was your protective shield? Did you have ward up? Dont bother ordering them to rescue you either as it just gives them a free murder and a free extra round of combat when you do, unless you have a raged berserker, or they are blind themselves. Third why would you reingage, with 45 hp when they are at big nasty? That is asking for death, but you saw that. Any more questions?

    Oh and also, if you fail to cause someone to fall asleep, you will not land it if you try again immediately. They get a couple of hours without you being able to land it, kind of like blackjack and strangle. There is a two or three hour cooldown affect on them.

    Your skeleton did assist, it should assist by default unless you or it is blinded. Ordering just makes extra delay to you.

    Only use order all/skeleton to hit is when you want them to take hits for you before the person "murders" you.

    You just missed the line of when he hit him, because he got parried/dodged and it was not shown.

    bah, it is my understanding that you can no longer order charmed creatures to attack before you in any instance. Neither a nec nor an ill can have its "pets" attack before the nec or ill is engaged in combat with the opp. The point is that order murder is useless.

    If you initiate the attacks then you shuold always have weapon ward and protective shield. It would have stopped the hobble and stopped your dirt kick. Looks like you kept aura the whole time but if you have rank advantage go for spells if you don't go for damage. Don't be afraid to get the hell outta there if you are losing since the flee/murder is badass against a mage class.

    Kapruski, im not unaware of that change, but it does make sense, as even I who only had one necro used to cheese the crap out of "order murder" vs. raged serkers and such.

    Ya, I know I didn't keep prsh and ward up, that's easy to fix. Really what I'm trying to do is get a better understanding of how I should be using my charmies. Thanks for the info and keep it coming.

    You shouldnt be doing anything with your charmies. They autoassist. Don't order them around in a pk situation unless its against a raged berserker. The lag is too long for any benefit otherwise. You haven't been able to order Charmies to murder players in a year or two.
