ergorion Benno vs 46 Dwarf -

I hate to be that guy, but you can't blame dwarfs in this instance. There are many, many things that you could have done.

Right off the bat, when you see him rage, flee and wait for his aura to fall. Since he probably only has purples or vials, his aura should fall in about an hour or so.

Number two, you got really lucky with that disarm against a raged berserker (defiance often prevents both dirt from landing and disarms from working). If you're going to be in combat against a zerker, you have to be using your combat skills. In this case, a two-hander overhead crush. If you have the staff of storms that would have been the ideal weapon. Overehead, foreign weapon for zerker, and vuln for dwarf.

Third, don't try to dirt kick a raged berserker. You're only lagging yourself for two rounds with no benefit.

Fourth, as soon as you see your aura fall, flee.

What you need to work on is timing and selecting your skills better. Dirt kick is great against a non-raged berserker. A raged zerker can't change style, so you need to gain superiority and use the appropriate weapon skill. Hobbling a raged zerker does nothing for you (they're not going to flee from combat anyway and they don't have dodge anymore).

Benno don't get discouraged. You are like at the bottom of the ratings while Gihkig is on the top end. There's obviously a skill difference, and that is going to make a huge difference in how the fights goes. Get better, cry less, kill more. That is the only way to win.

Vertas Benno vs 46 Dwarf -

Zerkers have dodge, at least on Thursday they did. He made a mistake raging there, granted Dwarves have an easier time using the relax skill but he should only use rage as kind of a finishing move or a last resort. Do what the others say and flee and wait out his aura, there is no way you would've lost if you had fled early and fought him again when he didn't have sanc up. You had weapon type advantage, and since rageder zerkers dual wield their shield when raged you should've double gripped your water cube and then tripped him (low dex) to death. I see you improving so much and its refreshing to see someone take someone more experienced on like that. Keep at it, make mistakes, die, get full looted, and try again, if possible find a sparring partner so you can get the hang of fighting players and learn the layouts of a couple of maps better. You're doing well considering your experience, don't give up.

Zerkers have dodge, but when they rage their only defense is parry.

I don't think you can double grip a water cube so you'd have to go with a two-hander and you should definitely be overheading against a dual wielding raged berserker, you do extra damage and rake their weapons aside.

But now we're getting into nitty gritty details.

Most important lesson: raged berserkers can't quaff potions, so if you see one rage, flee off and wait for their potion to fall.

They wouldn't overbear it? I never tried it with my last warrior and the one before that was a halfling so I might not have the most accurate information.

Don't get so frustrated, the advice of using a two hander and running off his aura is good stuff. You have a bunch of lifes (heck you didn't even lose one here) live and learn and have fun.

You can't double grip daggers and exotics. My advice is use the wave churned from the elemental canyon if you can't get the staff of storms or anything else. It's a flail and can be double gripped.

Keep in mind they have a skill (relax) that may allow them to leave a raged state, it fails a lot, but you should still keep that in mind.
