   Good god they should at least tell you to put on make up before they well nevermind rofl I feel for you Rondak this is one of the reasons why I don t join cabals anymore too much of a hassle they really are more about timing than about skill with the right players being in the right cabals with the right immortal activity things work like clockwork otherwise it s not fun

   Nah they didnt technically do anything wrong, just sucks for me. My rage pulled extra people in, gaelyns rp is all about protecting vella so no surprise he joined in when rage pulled her in. Ferante is just an oppurtunist.

   i really dont like the whole gaelyn/vella thing. clearly too much ooc going on there. if you have ever grouped with them you would know what i am talking about...fuck apostrophes

   There is nothing wrong with playing with a friend. They both rp exceptionally well so there is nothing going on there, and Vella does not pk so they are not pking together. No rules broken. I think its cool that they can pull it off as seamlessly as they have. Pretty fun.

   Gaelyn reminds me of Anakin Skywalker. He could not let go of his fear, and that caused him to turn to the dark side. As Yoda said, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to the dark side, therefore, fear leads to the dark side.
   
   As for what he did, I get that there was RP involved in his actions, but I really do not understand why he and Vella are not both outcasts.

   Beljia, I posted the rp log a week or so ago so that should clear up why they are not outcasts, among other things. They continue to RP well, so it was not just a one time thing.
   
   I am actually happy to see an alignment change / betrayal that does not involve losing tons of skills. I always thought that was a silly limitation that really constrained RP, since outcast was not an option if you wanted to be a competitive PKer. I really like watching these two as a living narrative that is some of the most interesting material roleplay-wise we have seen in a while, and I think it really adds to immersion.
   
   As for the log, yes, this sucks. But Rondak could certainly have challenged one of the people involved to a one on one fight. He decided to charge into a group. Excellent roleplay? Yes, definitely. Good tactical decision? Not so much.

   Yeah I definitely screwed up on this one. I should have demanded a fight, but I knew that under normal circumstances Mkatos is an honorable player and will usually not allow others to get into his fights. Its not his fault that my rage pulled vella, and thus Gaelyn into the fight. I am really getting sick of other people hampering my ability to fight as a berserker though. Chasing people to watch them fight is all good and well, but a berserker raged brings anyone not fighting into the fight if they are not grouped with the berserker, and there are some cases even if they are. Honestly I have been pretty impressed all around with Mkatos(stupid apostrophy) rp and the Gaelyn, Vella situation is awesome.

   One thing I would like to note, was that after this situation I came back and found that not only were my items not touched but, my gold(measley 800) wasnt touched. My corpse wasnt even tainted so I am not carrying around a bunch of rotdeath items for next time. It is my assumption that one of the Legions ordered Ferante not to touch my things, otherwise I am certain I would of at least been short a few items.

   As to your point about not losing skills when you switch sides, Kato. I disagree with you, in an RP sense. If you violate the sacred Oath between you and your god, doesnt it seem likely your god would give you a backhand?
   
   Sure your new god may help you out, but that seems more likely that you would gain different abilities. Something I would heartily support.

    I think for any class thats not a cleric or paladin, theres really no reason that alignment or alignment changes should affect skills or spells, because for those classes power comes from within. For clerics and paladins, its a bit more complicated. It makes the most sense to me RP-wise that healers who become evil get shaman powers, shamans that become good get healer powers. For paladins its tough, ideally they would become dark knights with communing instead of casting. I am ignoring game balance for the moment though, keep in mind

    Bear in mind that just because one god rejects does not mean that another will not in turn empower in a different way. Only a few select people actually KNOW what happened to Gaelyn and what abilities he still has, and what has or has not been changed. Outcast is more for people who break rp repeatedly for no reason. In the case of this, not only was this IMM sanctioned, but it was IMM motivated. They have been trying to convert knights for so long. Nycticora has tried to convert me a ton of times, and I know that she was trying to convert Aerilyn prior to her deletion. It started a huge amount of rp which is what this game is supposed to be about. It also gave a chance for new stuff. The whole idea for Count and Countesses was to bring more rp to evils instead of just the plain old, Im evil Im gonna kill you rp. Perhaps when Gaelyn is in the graveyard the player will tell us what was changed and what wasnt. Already I know he has been slightly gimped because of it. If you look at the log where Wild smash killed me, you will see that he tried to wrath me and it did nothing at all... That doesnt seem like its good at all does it? I am sure more will likely come of this. (stupid friggin apostrophes...)

    FYI I personally have stripped skills from both Gaelyn and Vella but I wont tell you which. Some of their skills are also just naturally broken because they cannot be cast on evils (even on self). If you check the changelog you might see a couple nasty changes to paladin skills as well that only take effect when a paladin uses them on a good-aligned character.
