At a young age it became apparent that Tei was not like other boys. For
starters, he never seemed to fall over. As soon as his limbs grew the
strength to hold him, he walked as smoothly and gracefully as any adult. As
he grew older he would alternate between walking on his hands and his feet.
Or switch between sitting on his bottom or upside down on his head, in fact
he spent so much time this way it wasn't long before he lost all his hair!
But it wasn't just his penchant for being heels over head that confused his
friends and family. Tei, with his startling eyes, also seemed to see or
feel things that no one else did. As if cursed with visions by some God.
Because Tei would often start, as if spooked by some spectre, and begin
frantically muttering to himself about the world collapsing, or falling off
its seat. All the while running about stacking rocks in various seemingly
random places. To offset the weight, he would say. To keep the balance.
Description:
Leathery skin the color of wet sand stretches tight over a well shaped
skull. Completely devoid of hair, this man's scalp glistens faintly with a
light sheen of sweat. A fierce and angular brow decorated by thin black
eyebrows protects startling eyes. The right is a pale and beautiful brown,
the left a shocking brilliant blue pierced by thin forked rays of yellow.
With his eyes flickering about, his gaze and countenance changes rapidly
back and forth from comfortable complacency to startled consternation.
