One such personification is a demon of untold origin but of sinister maliciousness. A great risk is hidden in the body of Aelaldric, former elf paladin, whom I encountered this day. He has been subsumed by a demon by the name of Xrxz'thyx. It says it followed me from Acadia. We must find a way to expel it from Serin before it is too late! Perhaps we can turn the great minds of the Consortium to finding a way? I would seek the counsel of our wise Knight friends, but alas... Their losses echo dearly.

Dear Serra,
I have seen many elves fall before the demons, but if what you have seen is true, then he is the first to lack the strength to take his life rather than preside with the demon within. Or perhaps it is strength that stayed his blade from his throat. I know there are certain protective magics that are meant to protect against the influence of demons. Having completed these tasks once with Solmundi, I believe it would be best for him to join us willingly in the quest to learn the lessons himself, but perhaps a circlet would provide such insight. I shall keep myself alert to future opportunities to recover his soul for the Light.
