Life was rarely pleasant for Leitha when she was growing up. Her very
existence was an unfortunate result of a bandit forcing himself upon her
mother roughly eighteen summers before she was forced to leave her mother
and the rest of her elvish kin behind. Her mother was a very fair and a
very kind lady, but when she was attacked during a journey she wasn't able
to defend herself effectively. Leitha's mother was very quiet about what
had happened for many years, but Leitha knew she wasn't like the other
children around her. She seemed to grow a bit faster, and the fact that her
hair was not blonde was a dead giveaway that she wasn't one of them. The
other children teased her and were more than a little mean to her, but
thanks to the fact that her mother still loved Leitha, she got through the
worst of it. Eventually, during Leitha's 17th summer, her mother finally
decided to tell Leitha what had happened a long time ago. Shocked, and
feeling betrayed, Leitha ran away with tears in her eyes. She managed to
make it to Valour, where she found refuge and realized all men and women
could be equal... But there were some people out there, people like her
real father, who were just plain bad. She decided to join the paladins'
guild soon after, and then went into the Academy for further training.
Settling in
After leaving her mother behind and entering the Academy, Leitha's life
changed dramatically. It started with her application to the Castle, to
become one of the Knights in Valour... She met a lady named Ilromie
Illistarre, who she was initially hesitant to approach due to past reactions
from her elvish kin. This hesitation proved to be unnecessary, as Ilromie
proved to be a very gracious lady and accepting of Leitha regardless of her
heritage. Ilromie helped Leitha take her first baby steps into becoming
Lord Ceridwel's squire... Along the way, Leitha was sometimes consumed by a
strong zeal and desire to make evil scoundrels pay. But she learned quickly
that she had to temper this inner flame and not rush into a crusade and
attack an opponent who had no chance to ready themselves. She was promoted
twice along the way, and continued to take guidance from Ilromie, as well as
her other friend from the Consortium, Serra.
Once she gained the Knight rank, Leitha realized she had more responsibility
than ever before. In addition to having to constantly fight a necromancer
and two Legion scoundrels, Leitha had other duties to perform. A war with
Legion seemed imminent, given that she was taking their skull on a regular
basis. Was she ready? Were the squires going to be ready?
But most important of all, she realized that it wasn't about the duties so
much as assisting others that mattered. So she decided to try and focus
more on having a positive attitude and helping other people when her duties
did not call for other actions.
Description:
The general physiognomy of this woman is rather peculiar, seeming to have
both elvish and human-like features at the same time. Her face is decidedly
a mixture of both worlds; her nose appears to be especially tall, and she
has sepia brown eyes far too dark to be elvish. But she also has thin lips
without much pout to them, and a pair of ears with tips that make them more
closely resemble a cat's ears than a human's. Then too, most of her body
seems closer to an elf's; she is tall and lanky, and the extremities of her
limbs seem to be particularly long. But at the same time, her hair is a
reddish-brown color not unlike auburn; this looks like it's a natural color,
instead of a color from being dyed. It is therefore safe to assume that she
is both part-elf and part-human.
Don't worry, I'm not gone yet... But due to new commitments outside the game, I don't want to commit myself to playing caballed characters at the moment.
It's hard to say where things would have gone... I've been under a lot of stress for roughly the past three weeks, and even before then there were other issues. I just didn't want to be one of those cabal characters who stopped showing up due to my position of relative seniority, you know? And I wasn't interested in continuing to play a caballed character. Though I suppose I could've retired instead of deleting...
I completely understand and respect your decision. It was nice to see the Knights get another strong paladin after me, and I was looking forward to seeing what you'd bring to the cabal.
Good luck on what comes next!
Leitha 1 , 0 , 0 . You were probably my favorite opponent. ;)
