  1. Shadows are so balanced!
    1. *cough* butt hurt *cough*
    2. I've said it before but actually I do think the shadow machine skill would remain useful if it just doubles the weapon advantages instead of performing as hasted. If you keep up with the forums people express shadows balance as sticking out like a sore thumb, and there's nothing else they have that can really do that (shadow spears are energy-intensive so you can only do a few). Unfortunately I can't really base these decisions off logs of people standing AFK with sanc down.
    3. does line of sight or saving throws have anything to do with the shadow spear? curious how often it can be used and how quick ki is generated. i dont have time to make a shadow and figure it out myself

  2. Dominated! Kiuril is awesome
    1. i can say shadows are balanced i tried to play one and it failed horribly you have to know how to pay the class in order to be successful and kiuril is killing it.

  3. Lol. He came out of shadowform in seringale. Deserves to die for that. The lag when you come out from shadowform is horrible.

    1. Got owned. Was logging on for a minute just to check the auction house and was two rounded. I played AR regularly sixteen years ago and was pretty successful. However, so much as changed in terms of areas and combat. I think I should stay in retirement. I don't have the time for patience to learn from being a n00b again. Well done Kiuril
      1. Nooo! Play anyway, I've played for long time and been totally unsuccessful, but it's fun anyway :p

        Stick around
      2. Its definitely negative to throw in "I'm leaving the game" after a death. Its just a huge bummer to read and nobody ever says that and means it.

And youre blaming it on the game changes? Youre standing in Seringale with a mage without a sanc up bro. You should've just cast teleport. As true today as it was sixteen years ago.
      3. I'd talk shit but I was salty as fuck the first time I died after coming back
      4. nyct you are quickly becoming one of my favorite immortals simply because you relate to players from an immortals stand point and not everyone think of an immortal in that manner. earn A LOT of respect that way.
      [reply to Khaelgorn]
    2. It was totally my fault. I'm not blaming the changes. I think they are actually good for the up-to-date players to keep it fresh. Selfishly, I was just hoping to not be such a noob on my return. Good to see you haven't lost your sense of defensiveness or bluntness.
      1. Illus is a tough class to come back and try. I'd suggest almost anything else besides that/necro/shadow. However, once you get the hand of an illusionist, they become really good at surviving and avoiding fights. Between word/gate/teleport you can get away and rest up pretty easily. It's a bit of a learning curve on it. Deaths like this are certainly demoralizing though. Just pick your head up, champ, and keep at it.
      2. i stand by my remark that youre "i am retiring" comment is a huge downer and youre pretty much saying every change over the last 15 years has summed to spoiling the game. Did i misunderstand you? My response feels appropriate to me
      3. I don't think he meant the changes spoiled the game. I think he meant the amount of change that happened created a new learning curve for something that was once familiar and the effort required to remedy the skill/knowledge deficiency is not worth it for this particular player.

If you're just here for pk, then I don't think there's too much we can do to retain you if you feel the re-learning curve is too steep. If you're here for both pk and rp, then I would say go with a high-survivability character (healer, super defensive illu) with stellar rp and the goal of longevity in mind and see how that feels.
      4. Ok I didnt mean to be savage I was just saying what I felt was brought to mind by what I was reading.
      [reply to Khaelgorn]
    3. More noobs needs to play.
