Khonorhik's life was simple, he had a passion for the performing arts
since he was young, always playing some sort of instrument.. He was always
playing around his chores at home, having received lessons from travelling
bards from the local tavern. He would always put his duty before his own
enjoyment, even when it came to tending to his ill mother; he stayed his
musical playing as it often caused her some sort of irritation. His mother
wasn't ill of a bodily disease, but one of the mind. The sound of the music
often drove her into a panic filled state. He always went to play far away
from the home, except for when he was needed there.
One day, while Khonorhik was away from his home, playing the flute, a member
of the Dark Knight guild came through his village and razed it to the
ground. The boy was first disturbed by the sight of smoke rising as he ran
into the village, finding it smoldered and there a lone woman was destroying
everything. The boy was frightened and hid, not sure what to do as he was
peeking and saw the woman head off in the direction to his home, he feared
for his family's life and Khonorhik fled his hiding place to go and attempt
to stop the woman. He snuck around and managed to run up ahead through the
field as he only had his flute.
He wasn't sure what to do, so he jumped out of the bushes, holding the flute
as if a weapon in front of the woman. The female laughed as he saw the boy,
thinking his efforts pathetic as he raised her hand and started to chant a
spell. Khonorhik didn't know what had happened, there was a bright flash of
light, and he was on his back spasms running through his body as he was in
pain. The woman walked up to him, smirking at him as from the distance,
there was a yell. A man in armor on a black stallion was charging towards
the female and managed to impale her on his halberd. The woman dead as the
man dismounted and worked on healing the boy's injuring, a scar on his right
shoulder leaving a testament to his duty to his family.
Searching for Spirit
During his time adventuring, Khonorhik ventured with many individuals.
He was always dumbfounded by their strength of will, particularly by those
of paladins and healers. He often wondered on religion after meeting them,
and wasn't sure if it was right for him. He didn't know what to do about
it. What he did was research the matter. He found during his studies and
travels to the shrines of those he found particularly interesting. It was
when he visited the last one, the shrine of Sarich.
The feeling he had while in the shrine was a peaceful one. But he wasn't
sure if the feeling was enough to push him into choosing a religion. He
studied further upon Sarich's religion and found that the Knights of Valour
following their code of virtue was a way for followers of Sarich to show
their dedication, which he was shocked to find out. He threw himself into
further studying of the virtues and the God of Spirit. After much
thoughtful considering, Khonorhik felt that Sarich was a choice for him.
Description:
Rich brown locks of hair hang down in front of this male's face. It is parted as the bangs curtain over a pair of deep, forest green eyes. Fair skin covers the expanse that is the male, as his hair hangs down to his mid back, held back in a braid. Softly pointed ears poke out on the side of the male's head. His body looks to be limber but still packed with certain muscles that come from performing. He stands around the average height of human males. His shoulders are narrow as he moves with the grace of a leaf fluttering on a breeze.
