  1. One dodge, no blocks, no parries, no monk forms proccing. Maintained combat style advantage entire fight. Doing injures and mauls with 40+ damroll. Broken.
    1. what are we calling broken now? im sure monks and warriors have had plenty close fights. usually i tell them to do drunken vs big damrolls
    2. everything is broken, hearts, souls, dreams and especially stone giant serkers.
    3. with 40+ damroll monk should do more than injures and mauls and wounds even on basic attacks through Tenacity. Defenses should also work in a defensive stance with combat advantage, A Warrior shouldn't be able to ignore that and just spam stun and murder to win in that situation. With style disadvantage he missed a total of 2 attacks in 12 rounds, one I dodged the other was a natural miss. In the same 12 rounds with advantage I had no style activations at all. I know its sour grapes but there is something broken about that.
    4. OK so what you're up against here is a very eq-based class. I do intend to have the hitroll equipment down a *little bit*, but just so you know, this is going to have a knock-on effect of making the clerics overall stronger. the solution to your problem is one that you will find feels a bit more favorable one way but also feels much less favorable another (i.e. when you lose it always feels much worse than how good it feels when you win).

    6. Hehe, I think Jomorl is just having a grumpy mood. While hitroll really helps, I think the issue here is that monk needs space to kite and win by outlasting the warrior. This was a very bad arena to do so. Things woulda been quite different in Ford.

      Secondarily, I was using a magical mace, weapon skill % difference between combatants is the most crucial aspect of being able to hit through parry and parry the hits. Monks have no mace skill, so that already gives me a huge advantage in toe to toe combat.

      Combat advantage is important surely, but it can be overcome with brute force if you do not disengage quick enough.

      I have been getting beaten up by Oohbuh and Jomurl simply because even when maintaining combat + weapon advantage 99% of the time, I would just get raged on and then bodyslammed to death no matter what.

      The key is to run away, get some distance, outplay them at their own game. Return to battle when their rage is down and try to delay it with trip or simply get some murders in. It took me a while to learn how to beat berserkers on a warrior but I think the same applies to monk vs warrior.

      You should simply outlast me and wear me down if you can't go toe to toe and win by brute force.
    7. Agreed with Szrevan in all. I was more referring to that as I saw those duels fought I noticed that Tearea couldn't just hit back hence suggestion to stack more hr instead of dr

Well as I said, my solution is going to be tune down some hitroll equipment (likely a trade-in for some save vs afflictive so we can get ahead of psionicist being overboard vs giants vulnerability to mental spells, which is kinda very hard to avoid). Next patch we also add the ability to parry some skills. That is because unblockable consistent skills that just require pushing buttons to deal high damage are ignoring high avoidance and setting up the right environment for powerhouses instead of chars who went dex. But lets acknowledge that is a well-geared warrior first and foremost. They have put in the time and risk (including dieing over and over) to get winter stuff
