    1. first of all this #revenge tag actually indicative of the wrong kind of RP, because knight cabal should have a goal of punishing evildoers, not seeking revenge... one of those is too harsh, actually bloodthirsty. probably just an ooc tagging is my guess. Seems worth a passing mention.

      second is this log shows the tavern gives a false sense of security since there is a perception of these guys being able to take care of themselves with the bouncers. even the heralds believe it apparently. We saw in the other log that if you can manage to get a mage fighting 3 mobs at once he gets whacked in short order, but my guess is this log is the normal outcome for heralds who try to defend themselves in tavern. I would say a way out from the office into the eastern road would be more useful for the heralds, and save bouncers for when theyre trying to protect patrons or feel like having the fight? would you guys like a cool painting to examine and move to the dragon statue? II think that can be arranged

      third of all outcome here of course is no matter what, the knight ends up looking terrible and somebody gets to suffer a humiliating defeat. ... not seeing any good outcomes. but it was nice to read a psi log. i made some adjustments to the psi regen

        I don't think it is indicative of a false sense of security. I think she was probably writing a note or something because that's what we are very often doing in there. She didn't respond the whole time he fought Callam. I know I feel super exposed in the Rest since I can't gate or blink in there. I pretty much only hang out there because of RP.

        Revenge is the purview of the attacked not the attacker. And it shall come! Oh yes. Retaliation shall be swift. And Heraldy.
      2. I didn't tag this as revenge, nor did I full loot. This was a case of everything that could go right did.
      3. Even a back staircase would go a long way. The upper levels of the Rest is one huge choke point. It's a death trap but, ya know, for us. Maybe all cabal grounds are like that? I wouldn't know.
      4. Realistically, she had different expectations because of how the last one went. She could have gotten away if she had dipped at the beginning. Instead she let me get the Tele-lock on her and then it was all she wrote.
      5. Hard to say. I would guess it was less expectations and more not being fully at the helm until you had stuff landed already and not knowing all the psionicist abilities. I know I don't even know what Tele lock means! But impossible to say unless decided to tell us.
      6. Its in the help file, prevents recalls and teleporting. Tele Lock someone then nuke them from orbit.

      I guess in general, would you be willing to talk about what you did for those of us who haven't rolled the class?
      1. Mainly, he landed brainwash on a caster. That’s the forget thing.

        The only other neat thing here is the good use of clairvoyance. I mean I get asking him to explain but all anyone has to do is read the log and search the help files for the abilities he uses. At least in this particular fight. Not even trying to be mean when I say it. It’s just very clear once you check them out of why he used them. Otherwise we’re just asking Krask to copy paste the helpfiles himself.
      2. I'm going to be posting a couple logs shortly, one of them against Krask. I found it frustrating to fight him... I'm not sure if 88 mental saves are too low, but that felt like it should've done a lot more before all the debuffs came in (I had one which gave -20 mental save at one point).
      3. See that right there is an example of why I ask the player. I can read the help files all I want but they won't tell me -20 is possible. You can't predict that when illusionist dreamstruck is like -3. And it won't tell me why Krask went hyperfocus on implant instead of brainwash or why he did both when they both impact spellcasting or how much hyperfocus he can do before the repercussions or any he didn't use any of other laundry list of spells especially one with a secondary effect that works with implant.

        Help files don't replace having played the class. That's why I ask.

      5. A lot of this has been trial and error. Not understanding how a lot of the skills worked etc. The big thing is you shouldn't expect someone to explain to you IE this skill is going to do -20 mental etc. You mentioned help files don’t replace having played the class. That’s an indicator that you should play the class. As someone who has played for a very long time, It gets boring sometimes playing the same classes over and over so something new is a breath of fresh air, even if that air at first is filled with strange smells and frustration. A lot of that is intended for you to play the class or play against and figure out for yourself. You will notice that there are no guides anywhere that say This ability does this effect exactly this effect and nothing else. A lot of abilities have more than one utility, and or benefit. So first off, you see me hyper focusing a lot of spells. That just raises the level at which I am casting them. Some spells that has a huge effect, others just makes it easier to cast on players. It’s literally a castable spellcraft like what invokers get. It allows you to cast stuff at a higher level, although not knowing the numbers of spellcraft vs hyperfocus I can’t tell you how comparable they are to each other.
        So you asked about brainwash. That spell I believe lowers their percentage of the abilities not completely erasing them, I have landed it on Militha a couple of times only to have her fireball me back-to-back. Same thing for invokers destroying me while they had it. I got lucky in this fight against Valindra as everything that could have gone right did go right. Implant visions is my most important debuff, as it has a bunch of cool effects that can stack if the dice rolls go my way. I have seen people redirected onto shopkeepers in pk and that can be devasting. Fighting Illusionists and having them destroy their own duplicates, or get stuck fighting them is a win, same thing for having Mahkto fighting his own pets instead of me. It helps a lot. I wasn’t using Hypnosis at the beginning, but it’s effective, especially if I can flee and get you attacking it and break my hypnosis. At that point, you have an aggressive mob chasing you that I can hide behind to attack you from. Brainwash as the helpfile states is only good against direct casters, and it doesn’t 100% stop them from casting, but it can make them fail spells and give me a chance to win. You will notice that most of this fight was me chasing Valindra and her trying to get away. That’s why I didn’t use other spells other than ones to stop her from wording or quaffing a recall if she ran and bought one. This was all intended to stop her from getting away. By far my favorite is clairvoyance but I fought Militha last night and every time I landed implant she slept the whole time we weren’t directly engaged, and I could never really cast clairvoyance on her. Anyway, if you have direct questions, I will try to answer them as best as I can when I can.
      6. Thank you for the effort you put into this! It's super helpful. I know there is no replacement for paying the class. It just isn't realistic for me to play them all with my life these days. Logs I can read so I try to go through them pretty carefully to get a better understanding of everything. It can be tricky with the more complex classes though it things that are high on interactions.
      7. Krask> once I realized you were using clairvoyance I was deliberately sleeping. There was a certain indicator that you had used it while I was awake (something about my eyes feeling funny or whatever) which made it obvious.
      8. I figured that to be the case. It was too odd that I didn't catch you awake but like once or twice, and those times I only saw what you were equipped with.
