Salvation
As a young child I felt the warmth of the sun and the salt in the air from the ocean waves crashing against the rock and sandy beach. My family had a small cottage where we were very happy. My mother and father were a pillar of the local community due to their fishing prowess. We would provide fish for the entire village and we had the best clam chowder in all the land. On one calm sunny morning my mother and father went out to sea hunting for fresh crabs and lobsters. From what I could piece together they were attacked by a band of pirates. My father was killed and my mother taken aboard their ship. When my family did not come home, I began my search and found clues that lead me to the dragon sea. Pieces of my fathers belongs took me to the Unlit city where I found my mother chained in a cage to be sold into slavery. I could sense evil around me, blades were drawn and blood was spilled. I saved my mother, but only by the grace of the light. From that moment on I dedicated myself to a higher purpose to save those that can be saved and if they cannot be saved, then more blood will be spilled

Description:

As the androgynous being before you comes into view a golden aura emanates from this holy being. The warmth of the sun yet the fury of storms is about him. You see this tall slender male figure of the elven race. His athletic wiry frame displaces his well-toned muscles. His shoulders taper to his thin waist in the shape of a V. His pale pink skin complements his bright green eyes as his pupils dance with an unquenched fury. His hair is perfectly straight and flows effortlessly in the wind, as if each strand was dipped in gold and forged in the fire of the gods. His soft complexion of blemish and wrinkle free skin makes it very difficult to discern his true age. His pointed leaf shaped ears twitch with the slightest of movements around him.

So many different things to do on a paladin, reminds me of why I stopped playing them so many years ago. Rangers are so much more simple.

Damn. Arknyh seemed strong. You should roll another ranger then. Ordan was a badass.

      1. Fighting you was very entertaining. I was hoping I would see you during the Friday surge (had three zombies) but no luck. I was wondering if you would shred them as fast as the skeletons.

Healer and paladin will destroy skeletons effortlessly. Next time you fight one with full zombies, load up with 30-40 purples and give all your zombies a few...
'order all quaff purple' right before engaging. That will keep them alive much longer during those painful turn undeads. Retreat when/if needed and entomb the zombies for quicker healing, which is still very very slow.

      2. Seriously, WTF??? This makes me sad, I really enjoyed our fights. It really was perfectly timed bashes and Dagnir jumping into the middle of the fight.

            Lies.

But in all seriousness, after some reflection on my time on this character what I would love to see in a pk scenario is maybe an established battlefield if you attack someone in an area you can't leave it, if they attack back they can't leave it for x amount of hours. If you word away maybe you can't leave that area for x amount of hours if you have aggressive adrenaline. If you have evasive then you can leave. Im pretty sure I fought the more elite people and they would just run flee and poof at big and nasty which was just boring. The less elite people just stood their and died which wasn't much fun either. I'm not a fan of the yellow brick road, but I am a fan of finality in every fight where people are willing to fight which means they should be willing to die.

Purify needs to be removed from the game and a different Knight cabal skill needs to be given. Or at least not make it affect the equipment of a player.

My only complaint with elf paladins is I never liked the divine sac change its too much of a pain to use in a fight when someone can just run away when they know u used it. I don't know why elf paladins don't get blind faith but holy shit does dirt suck against a fully geared warlord. Paragon was cool, I didn't understand it from the helpfile so I didn't learn it until I checked Rhoa's graveyard so I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. I guess I would equate it to a werebeast transform. Me personally I would rather see something like take place randomly just like werebeast transform. I really hate having spells/skills that I have to keep entering that I know will fade away with a long cool down.

Lightning charge has a huge change and it would be nice if it was more like wounding shot where it pinned the person like wounding shot does. Condemn/recknoning was silly to me where u have to build it up on gnolls or something because you can never really build it up in a fight against a player. Id remove will power all together I don't really see point to build something arbitrarily just to use certain skills at will.
          2. I made the same point about willpower, Ozaru. It's tied directly to divine might. If you do not have max willpower, you are not maximizing your damage output. Read the Divine Might helpfile, it explains it well. It feels silly spamming reckon on mobs to build it up, as pointed out before. It's also impossible to keep up during a fight against fighter and rogue classes. All the uncanny, sidesteps, bashes and so on deplete it so quickly that there's not a remote chance to get the first bar half way up. That's what happened in all my fights with Chul. Willpower lived at zero.
When WP was a 1 bar system, it was a little more manageable. When it changed to the 3 bar system, it became a nuisance.
I've given plenty of feedback on all of this before. I am glad you expressed yours as well.
It's probably not changing anytime soon/at all, though.
          3. For the love of the gods please do not add anything to paladins, as an evil they are truly a major pain in the ass to kill.
          4. Choeb, I cheered you comment for many reasons. There's one person in particular that knows why.

You guys can offer willpower generation up on a patch thread if you want. I just checked and found it maxing in 10 reckonings (zero to level 3) but the drain from getting tripped wiped out two reckonings worth, so yeah, that does seem a bit surprisingly high from a skill that lands consistently. But then so does a dude being unlaggable. Maybe a better middleground would be to just halve the lag reduction as that would also halve the loss of willpower.

          1. I hear ya on forcing people to stick around in a fight, but disagree with your rational. People leave most fights because they are not ready for the fight, free will can be a bitch. I was one of those people, I often left the fight because as an elf paladin you were totally destroying me. When I looked at your gear it changed over time but often was not that great. Not only were you destroying me but I did not have enough supplies to fight. From what I experienced, you did not do a good job at chasing. Sometimes fighting is playing cat and mouse. If you want less of that make a berserker and just rage away.
              [reply to Choeb]
            1. ...so much effort you put into and waiting to be inducted into knights and just destroy yourself like that. should of just quit and returned as/ when the appetite returns. Rip.

              1. If I called you scum in game, it was only because you fight well and I wanted you to know trash talk was ok.

                Well done.
                1. Yea I was that invoker and I picked that fight after seeing the paladin wanted.

Etgar, I had no issues with what you said I game. I honestly felt bad about purifying you because you kinda just stood there and died. I imagine you were trying to bait me near dagnir, but unfortunately he just didn't track fast enough.
