Shimmering in the sunlight like a drop of dew falling down an icicle a
sweaty jotun is here. His blue off-tone skin gives him an almost sickly
appearance, but he seems rather chipper. Hue of dark purple can be seen
scratched across his left eye in three lines, assuming it must be a scar.
The brilliant gold eyes that give off compassion and understanding seem to
search your soul for goodness. Even his good willed nature can't hide the
grin of mischief worn on his face as he is happy to show his pointy teeth.
His blue tongue can be seen behind them darting back and forth curiously.
Looking from the stream, seems like Kikikale landed another kill on Coelex and proceeded to, yet again, full loot.
Personally, I don’t care if it’s legion vs knight, I find repetitive full loots on the same character to be vindictive and hard, if not impossible to justification. It’s enough to make anyone rage quit. Each full loot is many hours of attempting to re equip to be competitive again. At some point, you just say fuck it, this shit ain’t worth it.
Generally I only take what I need but I’ve had beef with this guy since the beginning. You don’t get to talk foo and make threats to a Legion and expect to go unscathed. I could easily go in the details of why I left this scum Knight with nothing but the fact is - I am Legion, I am ruthless, I will find Xik’va.

The comment left by Kikikale here can be misunderstood as taking events in the game way too personally, its a good example of what this logboard shouldn't ever really look like. A comment like that can be easily misconstrued into its writer just looking like a total asshole. I think some of us get it. its a Legion vs a Knight, rivalry is fierce. I really don't think its a good idea to use the logboard like a character's social media though. Not everybody gets it.
Sounds like Kikikale is tired of a paladins shit and shit talking(to what extent that goes, I don't know..I'd guess Kiki is being kind and not showing logs of all the crazy things the paladin said). Get tired of the revolving shit from a rival/opposing cabal, and have enough buttons pressed, you get the boomstick. As seen on the stream with the full loot.

Interesting stance to take Dav considering you’d choose to defend the offender and not the offended. I think this crossed the “in-game” lines when Coelex started calling out Kikikale as a player and did it publicly via newbie chat which is shown on the live stream on the front of the website.
Oh, and when did this game go all kitty soft paws? Used to be a time you’d only come back to steaks or literally nothing at all and you’d be wandering around looking for some resemblance of a room you’d died in. It’s good to see players using discretion but if we want to put someone on blast for full looting then remove the mechanism from the game.

Was confused to scroll up on the stream and see my name in there bc I don’t really know either of these chars.
With Skeggi I used full looting as an RP mechanism to strike fear into the hearts of anyone he was fighting. You knew if you lost he was both gonna loot you ruthlessly and feast on your corpse. P fun psychic aspect in my mind. Def do not take that approach with all chars.
If I die my expectation is not to come back to all my stuff. I expect to come back to an empty corpse and if I get anything/everything back I’m like “sweet”.
We all have to remember that the game is about more than just collecting the shiniest stuff. It’s also about interactions with others and character development. I guarantee full loots are a good way to develop bitter grudges. I don’t keep grudges out of game (like the newbie chat msg said) but my chars sure would in game.

what I'm hearing is: Coelex talked OOC trash on the newbie chat, and since that's publically visible, Kikale should break the same rule on the logboard and also make sure to publically humiliate his "bully".
How about taking a step back and realizing how impotent that looks, how foolish it makes Kikale look, and what an unfriendly place it makes AR look. Seriously, its completely terrible. That's without the mystique being even considered, which it does also affect. Active cabal characters need to stop trash-talking players with active character handles immediately.

I read his one comment vs all of yours collectively and you seem like the one blowing this out of proportion and making things worse all around.

To be fair, I do enjoy a little bit of taunting and trash-talking my opponents when it's done in-game... But such things belong in there, not out here. As a semi-professional sports player, I compare the forums and log boards to venues outside the field of competition itself (the game in AR's case). When you're actually competing, all that matters is the situation in front of you (and in PKing, trying to win or at least not die). Outside of the direct heat of competition, it's okay to go over plays, or talk to the opposition. You can even treat competitors as friends instead of rivals... The same year that Tara Lipinski earned her first medals, there were two guys who were direct competitors in the skating event and they were being very supportive of one another like they were friends instead of enemies when their scores were posted. One of them even congratulated his opponent.
I've sometimes bought a bottle of water or soda for an opponent after a game.
My overall point: keep the trash-talking in game folks.

I think BlackWidow hit the most important point - sportsmanship.
You can say what you want IC (as long as you don't break established rules) but on the logboard, be a real person. We're all just playing a game together. It isn't unreasonable to have respect and camaraderie and even friendship amongst everyone.
That being said, sharing motivations, thoughts, and background about IC things is also reasonable and can be helpful.
So we just need to be aware of when one is happening, and try to not blur the lines and take IC things personally. Which means they shouldn't be delivered in such a way as to make that the obvious response.
I take it as pretty personal embarrassment when a Knight melts down like this. I see it not only as a negative reflection upon the cabal itself and the other players investing time and passion into their Knights, but also to me personally as the Knight imm who seemingly wasn't aware one of his Knights was off their rocker and would throw themselves against a goodie mob to align chance and fake condeath. I am personally offended by this, and apologize on behalf of the Knights to the player or players on the receiving end of very shitty RP not only in this end sequence but apparently also recurring over the past few weeks/months as shit-talking. A shit talking paladin, a shit talking PALADIN KNIGHT no less. Personally offended AND embarrassed.

stiehl, the devils advocate response is this. yes there are players who troll. the imms have told the players many times to just not respond, but sensible players just end up getting stuck into them, like its a crusade they have to win or something. at some point you come to understand pigs like to roll in mud. and then on the flipside, i find the following to be generally true - sensible players dont take any unnecessary risks, they dont do anything controversial, and they dont typically try out new shit (like jotun paladins). there are advantages and disadvantages of that too. sensible people can definitely be a bit boring and that can be a very real turn-off from the mud. they are more respectful of other players, and there's nothing bad to say about that. what I would like is if we could have more respect *and* more excitement and I find those are hard to increase abundantly together. it seems like more of one leads to less of the other.

I'll pick excitement. How about some more leaderboards than just PK'ing? Such as mob kills, gold earned, richest player ever, most hours logged, more IMM run quests, best RP'er of the month, best blah blah.... Different players like different challenges.
