The Thrill of the Hunt
Most lycanthropes are made. Few are born. Hardulf is one of the latter breed. It is rare that two werewolves breed. When they do, the offspring is always a lycanthrope and often grows to be stronger, larger and more vicious than a turned lycanthrope. Hardulf was the epitome of a natural werewolf. Born in the wilds, he was a natural hunter. His parents taught him to live off of the land and fend for himself. He spent most of his time outside of civilization. He was thirteen years old before he saw someone other than his parents. It was a human male that was clad in shining armor and holding a longsword. Sweat glistened on his brow as he drew laboured breath and glanced furtively from side to side, seeking something amidst the brambles. Suddenly their eyes locked. Hardulf's eyes were full of curiosity, whilst the human's eyes were full of fear. Hardulf grunted and the man took a step back and raised his sword. Suddenly Hardulf's mother appeared before him, racing towards the man. Steel flashed, blood sprayed, and his mother lay still on the ground. A howl of rage sent birds flitting and Hardulf's father rushed from the side, leaping and plowing heavily into the man. Hardulf felt paralyzed as he watched the scene unfold. They rolled on the forest floor, biting, clawing, cursing. Claws tore futiley at thick armor, rarely finding purchase on flesh. They rolled and rolled until finally they came still. Many breaths passed and neither rose. Hardulf approached to find them both limp and lifeless. Hardulf vowed that he would not share the fate of his parents. He would never be hunted. He would hone his body into a weapon and strike fear into the hearts of those that would hunt his kind. "Let them come for me", he thought. He would be ready and he would put their heads on a pike.

Description:

This human has a very rough appearance. His naturally white skin is tanned a dark brown, as if he spends an inordinate amount of time outside. He has a protruding nose, sunken eyes and a square jaw. His dark green eyes survey his surroundings with unflinching attention. He has a long mane of black hair cascading down far past his shoulders. His mane has a silver streak running diagonally from his right temple back down across his left sholder. His face is covered with a heavy layer of black stubble. He stands roughly six and a half feet tall and has broad shoulders and thickly muscled limbs. His forearms and the backs of his hands are covered in thick, curly black hair.

Would've been a pretty tight record if Jinjarak didn't fight me so much when I first hit 50 and he had a significant equipment advantage. After a while I had achieved equal EQ and was pumped to reverse the record and he deleted. To his credit he could have forced even more duels when he had the advantage.

Went werewolf because most people go tiger. I wanted to see what's up. Werewolf is awesome and a werewolf is way cooler RP wise in my mind than a weretiger.

Ranger warlord is a sick combo. hit/dam of 51/51 with the ranger bow and 45/45 dual wielding when in werewolf form. I've killed lots of ranger warlord but this is my first try at one for a long time.

It felt weird having zero kills. I was really hoping to get to RP a big feud with that DK that killed me in the arena around lvl 35. Unfortunately he stopped playing and people didn't come at me or antagonize me. I think it's a super douche move to be a neutral warlord in amazing gear and deathmark people for bullshit fabricated reasons. That's one of the things I least liked about a recent warlord. I was determined not to let that happen to me. It's really tempting to go that route in order to get kills and rating, but it just wouldn't seem fair to run around killing people that had no chance.

Sorry about the wolf stuff Djinx - it was just a weird thing to try to give the char some personality. Didn't mean to creep you out bigtime. Wylsin got the worst of that wolf's affections.

Davairus is an awesome cabal Imm. Any cabal is lucky to have him involved.

Quinace may be a warlord but he's as wise as a scholar. You're great.

        1. Never had a real opportunity to interact with Hardulf, real life always takes priority. I'd have liked to have battled against you to see where I could improve or do better. In general I've had a great time with all the recent warlords. I look forward to your next character!
