The Tavern of the Arcane
This is the only tavern in the town and as you might expect it is
considerably busy throughout the day. Adorning the walls are paintings of
wizards and dragons that seem to refer to an age long past. A few tables
and chairs are placed haphazardly around a room for the patrons to rest on
as they enjoy their ale. There is a door to the west of you leading back on
to Illusion Avenue.

[Exits: west up]
Tearea the Red Lotus, Standard Bearer of Warlords is here.
Feldrur the brewer is sleeping here.
Gerok walks in.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks in.
A fighting falcon flies in.

You nod.

Gerok gallantly tips his hat to Tearea.

Gerok utters in a thick, rolling brogue 'Gree'ins, Warmas'er.'

Gerok looks at Tearea.

Tearea offers you a handshake, type 'accept' to shake her hand.

You accept Tearea's handshake.

Tearea bows her head.

Tearea says 'Greetings.'

A cacophony of sound blows on the wind that blows suddenly through the tavern.

Gerok says 'The Serpen' King say 'nethin' abou' comin'?'

Tearea says 'He should be coming.'

Gerok nods.

Tearea looks at an Immortal.

You say 'May I make a suggestion before we begin?'

Tearea says 'Yes?'

Gerok says 'Ah agree, drinks be required.'

Gerok throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!

You say 'There will be many people here, and the discussion could quickly become unruly.'

An Immortal says 'The pendulum is blown by the Air, dearies. Don't mind me.'

Tearea agrees absolutely.

Tearea roots around in her sack.

Tearea gets a necklace of Vargan's fingers from a Big Ol'Pack Sack.

You say 'I suggest that we two respective Leaders conduct the majority of the discussion. Cabal members can communicate within their private channels.'

You say 'Of course, everyone will be given an opportunity to speak at large.'

Gerok nods in enthusiastic agreement with you.

You say to Tearea 'But for the most part, it should be you and I.'

Tearea nods.

Gerok says 'Then ah'll DEFINITELY be needin' a drink.'

Gerok walks west.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks west.

Gerok walks in.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks in.

Gerok says 'Bah, borin' town.'

Gerok says 'Bar's closed.'

Tearea says 'Lets give the Serpent King a few more hours.'

You nod.

You say 'Of course.'

You say 'There is no rush.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Try to keep your upkeep of skills to a minimum.'

Mazin walks in.

Fenlorn pulls a small leather tie from his pack and stitches a tear in his greaves.

Mazin nods.

Tearea gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

You chuckle politely.
Tearea says 'Whoever holds the necklace has the floor.'

You smirk.

An Immortal winces in agony.

Gerok lets out a hearty laugh.

You say 'Very good.'

You chuckle politely.

An Immortal says 'Poor Vargan.'

[WARLORD] Aragmon the cyclops : 'Szrevan has joined the halls of honor.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'There 'e be.'

Tearea says 'Good, Szrevan is here.'

Gerok nods.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Fashionably late of course.'

Tearea says 'Now we kill Order.'

Tearea coughs loudly.

You chuckle politely.

Mazin lets out a hearty laugh.

Gerok lets out a hearty laugh.

Tearea says 'Oh wait, we have more important things to discuss.'
Mazin says 'An easy task.'

Mazin peers around himself intently.

Tearea says 'Maybe next time.'

Mazin stops stalking around.

Gerok says 'Widda six ovvus, aye. No problem.'

Gerok throws back his head and cackles with insane glee!

Szrevan clanks in.
A dragon hatchling flies in.

Szrevan lets out a loud angry hiss at everyone in the room.

Gerok says 'Speakin' o' which, Shaghroth comin'?'

Gerok gallantly tips his hat to Szrevan.

Mazin looks at Szrevan.

Gerok looks at Szrevan.

Szrevan will be right back!

Szrevan clanks west.
A dragon hatchling flies west.

Tearea says 'Heard him coming a mile away.'

Gerok nods in enthusiastic agreement with Tearea.
Mazin agrees absolutely.

Tearea says 'He is having trouble moving at the moment, it sems.'

Gerok walks west.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks west.

Szrevan clanks in.
A dragon hatchling flies in.

Gerok walks in.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks in.

Tearea says 'Should be here shortly.'

Szrevan takes out a coarse whetting stone from his bag and starts to sharpen the edge of his weapon.

You offer to shake hands with Szrevan.

Szrevan accepts your handshake.

You say to Szrevan 'How have you been?'

Gerok sits down and rests.

Szrevan shrugs helplessly.

Szrevan's nostrils flare as he says 'The ssame I ssupposshe.'

You nod.

Szrevan flicks his tongue at you.

Gerok stands up.

Gerok walks west.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks west.

You hear the sound of breaking glass.

Gerok walks in.
Nahnum the bloated, old bloodhound walks in.

Gerok coughs loudly.

Gerok says 'If ye fin' shattered glass inne street.'

Gerok says 'I's the dahmn bums.'

Szrevan looks at Gerok.

Szrevan looks at Mazin.

Szrevan looks at you.

Szrevan whistles appreciatively.
Gerok says 'No' I.'

[WARLORD] Aragmon the cyclops : 'Szrevan has challenged Mazin to a fight to the stun in Forest of Illusion.'

Szrevan hisses 'We have yet to battle.'

Shaghroth walks in.

Shaghroth gallantly tips his hat.

Gerok lets out a hearty laugh.

Mazin snickers softly.

Tearea says 'Hold that in abeyance for a bit.;'

Tearea looks at Shaghroth.

The falcons watch over you again.

Szrevan lets out a deep gutteral grunt.

Mazin says 'Don't you think we should wait?'

Szrevan's scales on his back and tail slowly raise with tension.
Tearea encompasses Shaghroth in an ENORMOUS bearhug!

Mazin peers intently at Szrevan.

Gerok looks at Shaghroth.
Tearea says 'Alright, before we begin a few ground rules.'

Szrevan shrugs helplessly.

Shaghroth looks at Gerok.

You offer to shake hands with Shaghroth.

Shaghroth accepts your handshake.

[WARLORD] Aragmon the cyclops : 'Mazin has declined Szrevan's challenge.'

Mazin says 'After.'

Mazin nods in enthusiastic agreement with Szrevan.

Szrevan nods.

Gerok says 'Ye were sayin' abou' them groun' rules?'

Tearea says 'Whoever holds the necklace has the floor.'

You wear a necklace of Vargan's fingers around your neck.

Tearea says 'Fenlorn and I will speak for our organizations and later we can open up discussion to all.'

Tearea says 'Any questions?'

Szrevan gets a bottle of firebreather from a garb of an assassin.

Szrevan drinks firebreather from a bottle of firebreather.

Szrevan burps loudly.

Mazin shakes his head.

Szrevan sits down and rests.

Szrevan takes out a coarse whetting stone from his bag and starts to sharpen the edge of his weapon.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'A'ri', so jus' so we're prepared.. iffis negotiation goes tits up, ah say we focus Szrevan. Jus' sayin...'

Shaghroth shakes his head at Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Hopefully it won't come to that.'

Tearea says 'The floor is yours Fenlorn.'

You nod.
Shaghroth patiently twiddles his thumbs.

You stand up.

Shaghroth sits down and rests.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Agreed.'

Shaghroth looks at you.

Fenlorn holds out his hands, empty of weapons.

You say 'Thank you for taking the time for this talk.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Hail Vevier!'

You say 'I understand there is a great amount of uncertainty about this proposed merge.'

You say 'I would like to set the expectations of the Keepers.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'AHA! Mistress o' the Winds, i' be an honor.'

Tearea nods.

You say 'First, we have discussed amongst ourselves, and come to the decision that if there is to be a joining, it should be a complete one.'
[KEEPER] (Scholar) Vevier : 'Olyn is one of my oldest friends, I had to step in for this meeting when he asked, dearies.'

You say 'The previous talk of many factions under one banner does not seem to be well suited to upholding the needs of the Balance.'

You say 'We have agreed that should this be the path forward, we would be agreeable to being taught the importance of the Warlord Code and taking it to heart.'

You say 'Similarly, we would expect the Warlords to learn from us the Edicts of the Keeper and take them into your hearts.'

Gerok buys a bottle of beer.

Gerok pours beer from a bottle of beer into a magpie drinking mug.

Gerok drinks beer from a magpie drinking mug.

Gerok burps loudly.

You say 'If this compromise cannot be reached, the future of this Alliance is very uncertain.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Anything you wish me to add?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Not yet so far.'

You say 'I've asked for input from my Keepers, one moment.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Emphasize o' course we're willin' to give up magic, if tha' be a stickin' poin' ferrim la'er.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'No' now, jus' keepin'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'i' in mind.'

You say 'Gerok wishes me to emphasize, by learning the Code we would give up the use of empowering Magicks.'

Gerok nods.

You remove a necklace of Vargan's fingers from your neck.

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

You sit down.

Gerok pours beer from a bottle of beer into a magpie drinking mug.

Gerok gives you a magpie drinking mug.

Tearea removes a disease-scarred silver-grey collar of survival from her neck.
Tearea wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around her neck.

You thank Gerok heartily.

Tearea says 'A moment, we confer.'

You nod.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Interesting they didn't have a prior discussion as we did.'

Shaghroth snorts derisively.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Shaghroth ain' been aroun' fer a bi', a' leas' no' from whaddah've seen.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'We are clearly more prepared. This is Tearea's vision.'

Shaghroth looks at Tearea.

Shaghroth sighs.

Shaghroth nods at Tearea.

Shaghroth nods at Szrevan.

You say 'I'm sorry to interrupt your discussion, but there's one thing that I realize I didn't make fully clear. May I?'

Tearea nods.

Tearea says 'Yes Fenlorn?'

You nod.

You say 'As a preface, you should understand that the three of us have dedicated our lives to the preservation of the Balance.'

You say 'It is the most important and driving force for us. All other concerns are secondary.'

You say 'That is all.'

Tearea nods.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Excuse me if I spoke for you.'

Gerok nods.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Well said Keepermaster.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Nay, tha' be righ' n' proper to emphasize.'

Tearea says 'We would accept a merger as you propose with a few conditions of our own.'

You nod.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'But I believe you were already aware you and I were in alignment from the meeting we held before.'

Gerok looks at Tearea.

Szrevan looks at Shaghroth.

Tearea says 'Of course it would limit those who can seek the halls to those of the balance, and no magi nor communers would be allowed either.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I was. Hence I didn't hesitate with my words.'

You wink suggestively at Mazin.

Gerok nods.

You nod.

Mazin nods.

Tearea says 'I have vouched for the three of you, should you swear off magic.'

Tearea says 'However, I would ask the blademasters be exempt from the restrictions on artifacts.'

Tearea says 'New members would be required to accept it.'

Tearea says 'As I discussed, a grandfathering in.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ah, interestin'...'

You ponder the question.

Gerok sits down and thinks deeply.

Fenlorn's eyebrows furrow.
[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Only way I would be ok with that, would be if once they are defeated in battle and lose them, they must adopt our ways.'

Tearea says 'As for the Edicts and the Code, one must recognize balance as a desired result.'

Tearea says 'Honor is a way of life.'

You nod.

You say 'Of course.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Hmm.. tha' ain' bad. Another thing be though if they be huntin' threats and goin' to War widdem shinies.'

Tearea says 'Honor dictates we fight our battles openly, and without seeking advantage.'

Tearea says 'That would come before any other considerations.'

You nod.

Tearea looks more enlightened.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'They couldn' be 'avin access to forgin' weapons n' such if they still be usin' 'em shinies.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Or, naturally, our armories.'

Tearea says 'We would respond to the pendulums call as we currently do.'

You nod.

Mottled dark-grey scales tinge with faint hues of silver as they ripple
along the sturdy frame of this bipedal reptilian creature. Several small
jagged protrusions, reminiscent of a diadem jut from his serpent-like skull,
yet they do not look to be useful for anything other than perhaps
differentiating his status from the rest of his kind. Enormous
chartreuse-yellow eyes strain against the confines of his skull, the ridged
protrusions of his sockets disproportionately large relative to his scalp.
A thin toothy snout terminating at a dull point nearly six inches from the
brow, as the overall length of his head spans nearly a foot in length. Just
above the mouth two narrow openings appear to serve as nostrils, though he
seems to primarily breathe through his mouth which lazily hangs agape
periodically, revealing a row of terrifyingly grooved ivory teeth joined by
a pristine pair of larger fangs that have clearly been cared for. Notched
small sail-fins run from the back of his cranium all the way down to his
spine, bony colorless protrusions shaven to prevent further growth that only
arise to finger-length along his slithering tail. His stature is somewhat
dwarfed by the natural inclination of his limbs to bow at the joints, as if
he is indefinitely burdened by an immensely heavy, albeit invisible, load of
short pants still soaked from the muddy rivers cradled within his taut
sinewy muscles.
He is an experienced explorer.

A heavy gasping of breath sounds the presence of a beastly giant-sized
humanoid that is panting ravenously as he scans the immediate area around
him. Large bulbous eyes of dark brown resembling two patches of dried
blood, have now steadied and fixated upon your presence. Its eyes are
hollow of emotion and empty of compassion, never blinking as they seemingly
stare through you and within you. This monstrous creature appears to have
lost nearly all traits of his humanity and has given in to the raging beast
within. The hue of his skin is void of any discernible coloring as dirt and
grime cover him in a shroud of filth. This behemoth's body itself is a mass
of flesh and girth as folds of skin topple upon one another. This beast's
hulking appearance suggests that his gluttonous ways have caught up to him
over the years and continues to do so. A gelid green slime oozes out from
under the folds of flesh smelling of rot and decay. A swine-like maw gapes
upon widely as swollen and bleeding gums, oozing with abscess, swell around
rotting black teeth. What lips once were are now an infected mass with
remains of dried rotten flesh embedded into the dead skin. A putrid and
overbearing stench from the beast assaults the senses, smothering any and
all aromas around him. The pungent scent is so suffocating that it reminds
one of a mass grave cooking in the heat of the afternoon sun and that he has
indulged himself in the remains.

Shaghroth looks at you.
Tearea says 'I would seek approval to teach you a few things for abandoning magic, and also access to your facilities.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'If a merger was decided on, I do not expect us to be an organization with all the powers of both. I suspect we would each have to evolve into something new.'

Tearea removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from her neck.

Tearea gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

You wear a necklace of Vargan's fingers around your neck.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, ye mi' be righ'.'

You say 'Please allow us a moment to discuss your proposal.'

Tearea nods.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I'm in agreement with you two. Anything further to add?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'You like the idea of grandfathered until lost? No further seeking of new artifacts?'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Yes.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'And as long as they carry those artifacts, they cannot access our armory.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Yes.'

You say 'Alright. To your first point.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Lady Vevier, did you have any thoughts you wanted to add?'

Gerok winks at Szrevan.

You say 'We feel that the so-called 'grandfathering' of the Blademaster's Artifacts is acceptable, with the caveat that they carry what they have now. Should they lose them, they would not seek to regain them.'

[KEEPER] Vevier : 'Bending the rules is an old game for me, dearies. Once one gets bent the others follow easier.'

You say 'And during that period they would not be granted access to our Armory.'

You say 'Nor would they be instructed in our Powers, as they would not be compatible anyhow.'

You say 'All future Applicants would be expected to adhere to both the Edicts and the Code.'

[KEEPER] Vevier : 'I'm far more worried about whether they understand balance. It's always such a clamor coming from their cabal.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, ah be agreein' widdat.'

You say 'As far as Honorable combat goes, I personally have always given those who made themselves a Threat to the Balance an opportunity to relatively peacefully remedy this.'

You say 'And I see no reason why that can't be adopted by all.'

[KEEPER] Vevier : 'How does heeding the call of the wind align with their desire to seek glory?'

You say 'If they refuse, well, the gloves are off.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'They fight harmless duels for their glory.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'If their war efforts are turned to the balance, and their duels are kept in the arena, there is no harm.'

You say 'I think that addresses your words.'

You remove a necklace of Vargan's fingers from your neck.

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, bu' tha' be the key. No smashin' cabals tha' are jus' rebuildin', n' no cavin' to personal vendetta's when the balance be a' stake.'

Tearea wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around her neck.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Agreed, the destruction of Legion has left a big hole to fill.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Right now that balance is NOT aligned in this world.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Quite right.'

[KEEPER] Vevier : 'You could say that again, dearie!'

Tearea says 'As Warlords, we negotiate from our position of strength. We cannot accept terms that would weaken the halls.'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'And what terms would weaken their halls?'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'My thoughts exactly.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, ask 'er to speak clear, if ye wish.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'When she has spoken I shall.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Although peacefully dealing with threats seems to be a difficult proposition, usually they get there through bloodshed, and only bloodshed will fix it.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Usually yes.'

Tearea shakes her head.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'But I have given them the opportunity regardless.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, diplomacy firs'.'

Tearea says 'After our discussions we cannot accept those terms. We do not believe the restriction agaisnt artifacts remain in the edicts.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Seems like ye Serpen' King loves 'is horde too much.'

You raise your eyebrow at Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Sure does.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'So it seems.'

Tearea says 'We would maintain the balance, and invite you under our banner, but honor must come first.'

Tearea says 'The edicts cannot force us to abandon our honor, nor abandon our strength as it stands.'

Tearea removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from her neck.

Tearea gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

You wear a necklace of Vargan's fingers around your neck.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'No one has asked her to abandon her honor, and if they think so little of the balance...'

[KEEPER] Vevier : 'What did she expect when she proposed a merger?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'I's because they dun unnerstan' the balance.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Iffa may?'

You say 'A few things to address.'

You say 'First, there seems to be a general misunderstanding regarding the question under consideration here.'

Shaghroth peers at you intently.

You say 'You speak as if the Warlords would be absorbing the Keepers under your banner. Not a mutual combination of our Fortresses. Please correct me if I'm misinterpreting your words.'

You say 'Second, I don't follow your logic regarding your Honor. In what way would your Honor be abandoned? We make no suggestion that Honorable combat be in question.'

Tearea nods.

Vevier sits down and thinks deeply.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'And finally, we aren't asking the blademasters to give it up, only not to renew it once lost? Just my suggestion.'

You say 'If anything, I would think that adopting the Edicts and restricting yourselves to more common wares would enhance your Honor and prowess.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ah'm sharin' private words wid the Serpen' King. I' seems Tearea was a bi' heavy handed widder wording.'

You say 'No longer could excuses be made that you won a duel only because you're wearing extremely powerful things.'

You say 'But that is simply my perspective.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Well worded.'

You say 'Finally, we're not suggesting that you abandon anything. Only that if you were to somehow lose what you've gathered you would not seek it back out. If that were to happen, you'd be granted access to the Armory and quickly find yourself quite powerful.'

Yuck, try to cover your mouth next time!

You say 'Excuse me.'

You say 'Quite powerful again.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Whaddif both could be co-existin'?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'What do you mean?'

You say 'From my observation, the combat prowess of you and your Blademasters do not eminate from your armors and weapons. It is from your skill in combat, your cleverness, and your experience.'

You remove a necklace of Vargan's fingers from your neck.

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Whaddif ye choose... can' be wearin' our gear if ye holdin' any shinies. Udder option, ye go fine yer gear out inna World.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'We ain' even huntin' shinies no more, we jus' hunt threats n' strong cabals.'

Tearea says 'I will address your points, however Szrevan has asked me to allow him to speak briefly.'

Tearea gives a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Szrevan.

You nod.

Szrevan removes a cloak of mist from his neck.
Szrevan wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around his neck.

You say 'Of course.'

Szrevan's nostrils flare as he says 'What I proposshe issh ssimple. Why do you fight for balanssh? Why do Warlordssh sseek to overcome thosshe ssame tyrantssh?'

Szrevan hisses 'I believe it issh a fight for freedom of ssortssh, give everyone an equal chanssh to fend for themsselvessh, make ssomething out of them.'

Szrevan hisses 'Without being ssubject to tyranny.'

You nod at Szrevan.

Szrevan hisses 'That issh what would unite ussh, in a honorable way, assh there issh no greater challenge to bessth thosshe who are the sstrongest of Sserin.'

Szrevan hisses 'And how it would work in my perssonal opinion.'

Szrevan hisses 'We fight for a freedom of individual choisshe in the firsst plasshe, ssho why not give everyone an individual choisshe bassed on what they prefer.'

Szrevan hisses 'The era of Keeperssh attacking people due to their waressh issh a bygone era.'

Szrevan hisses 'The prejudissh sshould be gone.'

You frown disapprovingly.

Szrevan hisses 'One could choosshe whether they would forge their armor or hunt the most powerful creaturessh of Sserin, often alone, like Sshaghroth.'

Szrevan hisses 'Can not do both.'

Szrevan hisses 'But would give a freedom of choissh.'

Szrevan hisses 'The waressh issh not what makessh a persson.'

Szrevan hisses 'It issh ssomething that issh part of being a Warlord.'

Tearea looks more enlightened.

Szrevan hisses 'Conquer the sstrongest beassth of realm, take itssh armor and blade.'

Szrevan hisses 'Assh a mark of pride of your achievement.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I really want to answer that.'

Szrevan hisses 'It issh ssame assh conquering the biggessth Threat to Sserin.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I have an answer at the ready, but please share yours.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'We fight for balance, not pride.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Or did you wish to speak directly?'

Szrevan hisses 'The Justissh hassh been purged, Legion hassh given up, we have proved oursselvessh to align with your Edict.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I wished to speak directly, but it's fine.'

Szrevan hisses 'Unmantling the tyrantssh who may arisshe.'

You frown disapprovingly.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'He does not understand the Balance.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'He does not.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'No'

Szrevan hisses 'What we asshk issh for you to ssimply give a freedom of choisshe for thosshe willing to continue on thissh path.'

Szrevan hisses 'Thatssh all.'

Szrevan removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from his neck.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Without evil, good will seek to dominate the land, without good, evil the same.'

Szrevan gives a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

Szrevan shrugs helplessly.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Exactly.'

Tearea wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around her neck.

Tearea says 'Well said.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, bu' be min'ful ovvis pri'e. 'e needs ter unnerstan' 'e don' unnerstan' the balance. Tha' 'is example of the cabals is poor.'

Tearea says 'To answer your points Fenlorn, a full merger would have to fall under one banner.'

Tearea says 'As you have desired and stated, no factions. We would have it be under our banner. We have proven our stability as the longest lasting organization in Serin.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'That is not true.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Longest lasting...'

Tearea says 'As for balance, it cannot be measured simply by numbers but also by strength.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'They were destroyed, the Warlords of the now are not the Warlords of old. '

Tearea says 'An even number of legions and knights does not necessarily mean things are balanced.'

Shaghroth nods at Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Agreed.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'They be too blin' to see their own tyranny.'

Tearea says 'As for your point regarding excuses made for wears leading to victory, that is the cry of the unmotivated.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I take back my desire to speak myself, I would have a hard time keeping my feelings out of my words.'

Tearea says 'As you stated, our cunning, skill, and strength have led to the culmination of our victories.'

Tearea removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from her neck.

Tearea gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Pu' the shinies aside fer now, in me opinion.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Needa address tha' they don' unnerstan' the balance, bu' inna diplomatic way.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Have either of you heard anything to alter your position? Anything to allow Shagroth and Szrevan free reign of Artifacts?'

You wear a necklace of Vargan's fingers around your neck.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'We have asked for little.'

You say 'A moment please.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'What we have asked for they have refused.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Where is the value proposition? This seems more like a power grab than I initially thought.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I agree.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'They want access to our strength to strengthen theirs.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Without meeting our points I could not be a part of this.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'They have no understanding of the balance.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Agreed. Tha' needs ter be addressed.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Bu' me hope for this workin' shrinks wid every word they be sayin'.'

[KEEPER] Vevier : 'I agree, too!'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ah didn' 'ate the poin' abou' the shinies, bu' everythin' affer tha' painted a poor picture.'

You say to Szrevan 'Thank you for your perspective. But, I think it exposes a fundamental problem.'

You say 'You speak of the destruction of Legion and the open streets of the Cities as if they're some sort of victory. They are not.'

You say 'You're right in saying that mere numbers do not imply balance.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ye each 'avva recall potion on ye, aye?'

You say 'The Balance is a fickle thing, and cannot be easily defined. But it is an undeniable fact of this world.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Yes, why?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Incase this goes real bad real quick.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Not concerned.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Not a single one of them can keep up with our hogs.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'No' concerned, jus' prepared.'

You say 'The desire to display on your person these feats of strength belies a greater issue. The oath to not make use of these Artifacts as part of the Edicts are not by virtue of our desire to cleanse them from the lands.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Well said.'

You say 'Just as your decision not to use empowering Magicks does not set you against the Mystics of Arcana.'

You say 'It is rather a demonstration of our devotion to the Balance. By swearing off these things we show by our own example the humility of Mortality.'

You say 'Tyrants can come from any background. Knights can be tyrannical in their pursuit of purity.'

You say 'And finally, yes I believe if we were to unite it should be under one banner, but a common one. Neither of ours as it is now. A new united banner.'

You remove a necklace of Vargan's fingers from your neck.

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

Szrevan's scales on his back and tail slowly raise with tension.

Tearea wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around her neck.

Tearea says 'We could be called many things, humble is not one of them.'

Gerok lets out a hearty laugh.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ah think we found ourselves an impass, lads.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Perhaps so.'

Tearea says 'We celebrate our mortality much as you do, but through putting it at risk in honorable combat.'

Szrevan takes an old tattered piece of Warlord banner from his pocket, sticks it on his chestplate and raises his left hand high.

Tearea says 'We take pride in our ways, in the history and longevity of the halls, and of our victories.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'So Szrevan firs'? HAR!'

Tearea says 'We would not seek to abandon our banner for a new one, when ours has persisted for so long. We could not simply cast it away.'

Shaghroth nods at Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I don't intend for this to end in bloodshed.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Not yet.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye aye, ah be jestin'.'

Tearea says 'We cannot unbend on this, but we can find a place for each of you underneath it.'

Tearea says 'As you pointed out, even a knight can be a tyrant.'

Fenlorn's eyes narrow slightly.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'This was never about us not having a place.'

Gerok sighs.

Tearea says 'Thusly this Alliance was born due to that.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, we needa prepare fer War.'

Tearea says 'The failure to recover the skull of the legions from one supposed Tyrant.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Really?'

Tearea scratches her head, looking very confused.

Tearea removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from her neck.

Tearea gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

You wear a necklace of Vargan's fingers around your neck.

You say 'I believe we've each made our points clear. I should like each of the Members present to have a chance to speak before we part for now.'

Tearea nods.

You say 'After that, we should all reflect on what has been said here before Tearea and I come to a final decision.'

You remove a necklace of Vargan's fingers from your neck.

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Shaghroth.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I see what you are trying to do here hah.'

You say to Shaghroth 'Please start us off.'

Shaghroth mulls over the idea at hand. Please be patient.

Shaghroth says while chewing on something vile 'I agree with Szrevans point by allowing to have a choise to choose precice calling.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I may be getting ahead of myself, but just as a point of future discussion, how would the two of you feel about the banner 'Warlords of Balance'?'

Shaghroth gurgles 'But I do not seek any fruitful outcomes with this merge.'

Shaghroth gurgles 'I have spoken.'

Shaghroth gives a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I care not what I am called, as long as I serve the balance.'

Shaghroth gurgles 'See rather.'

Shaghroth slaps himself, really strange ...

Fenlorn gestures to Gerok

Gerok coughs loudly.

Tearea gives a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Gerok.

Gerok utters in a thick, rolling brogue 'Apologies, a bi' of a daydream 'ere.'

Gerok says 'Ah'm thinkin', in terms o' quantity, n' a' leas' onna surface, we go' more in common than naugh'.'

Gerok says 'Bu', a fundamental flaw in a merger's been 'ighlighted.'

Gerok says 'We ain' seemin to be unnerstandin' one another.'

Gerok says 'On the deepes' level.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'Hand it to Szrevan when you've said your piece.'

Gerok says 'Warlord's ain' unnerstandin' the Balance 'ow we seen it, n' we ain' unnerstandin' 'ow the Warlords tie up their honor in all this.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I like it that you leave me for last. Thank you.'

Gerok says 'Furdermore, ah'm always one ter call a spade a spade, bu' there be seemin' a lotta tension from the Warlord's side, ain' a lo' of desire ter mee' in the middle.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I meant to leave Tearea for last actually.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Ahh.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I meant between the not leaders hah!'

Gerok says 'To break this tension, we be needin' more discussions. N' tha' means more patience. Time'll tell 'ow much o' tha' we go' in stock.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Tearea is just saying the same thing over and over with new words at this point.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'It had to be someone, why not you?'

Gerok nods.

Gerok gives a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Szrevan.

Gerok sits down and rests.

Szrevan wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around his neck.

Szrevan's nostrils flare as he says 'Ssaid all I had to ssay, I am indifferent from now on.'
[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Goin' back, ah like the name 'Warlords o' Balance', bu' also ain' hatin' 'Warkeepers'.'

Szrevan removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from his neck.

<787/787hp 695/695m 494/494mv no opponent no opponent inside (indoors) calm>
Szrevan gives a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Mazin.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'That is another option to be sure.'

Mazin says 'Indifferent? '

Mazin says 'I am a simple man. I am here for the balance.'

Szrevan hisses 'Assh in, nothing more to add, no more opinionssh.'

Mazin says 'As long as the balanced is served I care not what I am called.'

Mazin says 'But the balance must be served.'

Shaghroth gurgles 'What is balance for you Mazin?'

Mazin says 'If it comes down to who gets to keep their artifacts and who doesn't then that bothers me.'

Mazin says 'The balance is simple.'

Mazin says 'For there to be light, there must be dark.'

Mazin says 'For there to be order, there must be chaos.'

Mazin says 'All is needed.'

Mazin says 'For one to be stamped out, the land cries out for fulfillment. '

Mazin says 'I care not for artifacts one way or the other.'

Mazin says 'They don't matter.'

Mazin says 'They are created from the lifeblood of the lands, but for them to be a sticking point.'

Mazin shakes his head.

Shaghroth nods.

Mazin says 'Moving on from that point, the question I have to ask is what's offered, whats gained. '

Mazin says 'Keepers offered to share their armories, their powers, and their purpose with you, while forswearing magic and not allowing those that have always been welcome in the halls of balance.'

Mazin says 'I have never had an issue with the way Warlords do anything until the imbalance created by the warlords with their actions.'

Mazin says 'The destruction of legion is a tragedy of imbalance. '

Mazin says 'It must be rectified.'

Mazin says 'I agree that numbers aren't simple, but none is none.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Speakin' o' legion, Aelaldric be aroun'.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Did I miss any points?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Nay, ye spoke well.'

Shaghroth mulls over the idea at hand. Please be patient.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'That's up to you.'

Mazin gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

Mazin says 'I don't think I missed any of the points on my mind.'

Mazin snickers softly.

You say to Mazin 'Thank you.'

You wear a necklace of Vargan's fingers around your neck.

You say 'I only wish to add, if we were to join, there would be a great deal of adjustment for everyone. I wouldn't begrudge anyone needing time for that adjustment.'

Mazin nods in enthusiastic agreement with you.

You say 'I think we should go from here and think about what has been said from all and share those thoughts with our Cabals.'

You say 'Tearea and I will meet again for a final decision.'

You say to Tearea 'If that is agreeable to you.'

You remove a necklace of Vargan's fingers from your neck.

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

Tearea wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around her neck.

Tearea says 'Zero is far easier to balance than one.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'N' tha' jus' sums it up, don' i'?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'They wish ter squash everyone else, n' call i' balance.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'It sure looks that way.'

Tearea says 'I would ask you what you would do... or more importantly have us do to address the lack of Legions. Put on a cape and a mask and swear fealty to Dogran and go around murdering babies?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'If that is the case, that makes them the tyrants they speak out against.'

You scoff at the idea, how absurd!

Tearea says 'We seem to be accepting blame for creating an imbalance, where I don't see a problem.'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'That about settles it then.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Agreed.'

Tearea says 'I agree with Fenlorn's point that a certain amount of time would be required for adjustment.'

Tearea says 'We would give the same allowance for adjustment that we do for our recruits.'

Tearea says 'We have discussed a lot and have a lot to think about. Lets take time to consider it, and we can meet again.'

Gerok nods.

You nod.

You offer to shake hands with Szrevan.

Tearea says 'I would say one last thing.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'We go' a threat to find.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'A threat?'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'We do?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Aye, Aelaldric.'

Szrevan offers you a handshake, type 'accept' to shake his hand.

Tearea says 'We have served our purpose during this alliance and met the dictates of the pendulum on your behalf.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Aelaldric is no threat.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Hmmm...'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'He's no Threat yet.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Why's 'at?'

Shaghroth peers at you intently.

Shaghroth peers intently at Szrevan.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'He's Outcast.'

Tearea says 'Allowing this situation now where we flourish with only one outstanding threat.'

Tearea removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from her neck.

Tearea wears a necklace of Vargan's fingers around her neck.

You nod at Tearea.

You offer to shake hands with Szrevan.

Tearea says 'And lastly, we cannot waste this opportunity for a three against three battle in the Arena.'

Tearea removes a necklace of Vargan's fingers from her neck.

Tearea gives you a necklace of Vargan's fingers.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'What say the two of you?'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'A battle?'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Hrm.'

Shaghroth makes some grunting noises.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ah'd radder look fer taiji's, ter be hones'. N' ah'm a li'il punch shy affer slayin' ye on accident, Keepermas'er.'

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'I don't think so.'

Szrevan hisses 'I would like to battle Mazshin firssth and Gerok wanted a rematssh.'

Szrevan shrugs helplessly.

Gerok says 'Aye, n' affer the las' ba'le royale...'

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I think Tearea has that part figured out, Gerok.'

Gerok says 'The Keepermas'er fell when he ought not to 'ave.'

Tearea says 'It will work properly, this time.'

Tearea looks at you.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Mazin : 'Watch my back a moment?'

Gerok looks at Mazin.

Mazin says 'A moment.'

Mazin sits down and rests.

Tearea says 'Now?'

You say 'Not here, no.'

Gerok lets out a hearty laugh.

Tearea says 'Hes drinking white stuff, just wondering.'

Gerok says 'Thinkin' 'e be medita'in in some way..'

Gerok peers intently at Mazin.

Gerok looks at Mazin.

Shaghroth looks at Mazin.

You say 'I think he had a brief meditation to do and didn't want to get snuck up on by anyone.'

Tearea says 'Six of us here, I think hes fine.'

Szrevan takes out a coarse whetting stone from his bag and starts to sharpen the edge of his weapon.

[KEEPER] (Keepermaster) Fenlorn : 'I think we should, just as a token of goodwill in case they soften their outlook.'

Mazin stands up.

Mazin agrees absolutely.

[KEEPER] (Stalwart) Gerok : 'Ah'll follow yer commands, Keepermas'er.'

Mazin says 'Sorry bout that.'

You give a necklace of Vargan's fingers to Tearea.

Tearea nods at you in agreement.

Mazin says 'Exactly as Fenlorn said.'

You say 'A battle, for goodwill.'
