Background history:

A Dark Heritage
Dimhiri was discovered by a free-spirited rogue who had meandered from her normal patrolling route when her band was dismantled after an unsuccessful ambush at a crossroads along the eastern road. A motherly instinct crept over her after hearing the cries of an infant coming from the entrance to Witch Wood, just along where the trees broke, however, when she lifted the veil, she was left in awe and disbelief at what was in the basket. It was a devilish infant, judging from the small horns and razor-sharp teeth. A wind began to blow, leaving residual traces of black to dissipate softly in the cold winter air. The lady rogue could not just abandon this feeble and parentless child, and during these thoughts the ambushed mob's shouts were becoming more and more evident. At this time a demonic growl startled the lady that came from the woods, breaking her concentration, and she had swooped the basket up, and retreated a ways off through an old smuggling tunnel that led down. Footsteps sounded through the sewers, and in her haste the lady rogue had unsuspectingly reached a hidden shrine where she placed the basket down in an attempt to hide the infant behind an altar. The rogue then hid a ways from the shrine and caused a temporary diversion until she was slaughtered mercilessly for all the thievery and crime her band was known for. The mob was angry and marched into the shrine trying to find the basket, but was met only with a residual mask of black that decayed into thin air.

Description:

Demhiri stands tall on cloven feet, at least by human standards. She has two beige horns that resemble that of a ram's. A perfect slender nose runs in between the tribally decorated cheeks, a pair of soft blackened lips are locked into a knowing smirk. These tribal markings can also be seen along her shoulders and belly button, her smooth red skin as a background.

She has short dark hair that falls in between her horns, just above decor that surrounds her eyes, the kind of decoration an evil jester might apply around her visage, and in this case, a pair of burning yellow eyes. Rather than conceal, her clothing tends to accentuate her feminine curves. Behind her sways a tail with a spade point.

I spoke to the character in game and she said how she was feeling, so not, this isn't me.

I loved interacting with this character. On every level, she was great. I had experiences against you and with you, you did a great job all around. Very well done. Really shitty it came to an end this way. I hope you make again.

I'm going to fly on this one. I am pretty pissed that 200 hours later (backgrounds worked offline, notes, poetry, assassin card) you guys have the audacity to be like, "Well sorry, this isn't targeted at you, but yeah, you can't have your Tiefling custom race, because we don't know what it is and how it fits into the game you and all the other players play.) You should've told me in the beginning ya jackasses, not waste my damn time. I wrote my background, desc, and note to Immortals for custom race at lvl 1. I waited a month to hear an Imm(sounded like dav) tell me I didn't meet all the requirements so I was denied. I had to talk through Goron to get the Immortal to talk to ME, to see how I could fix the problem. "You aren't even verified" the Imm said, I looked at the helpfile and sure enough a small paragraph requirement was added, but two weeks after I wrote my shit. I jumped through all these hoops, and I'm just tired of it man. I don't like some of the changes thats been happening, but I've been a fan of most, but you guys have got to get your shit together. So farewell, gain one lose one, I'm out.

Goron - Stay strong, I hope your whole rant wasn't focused on me because of our passionate conversation, but in defense, gank me with Knights expect to die.

Kigran - Everything speaks for itself, may you continue to reign on the battlefield.

I can't just change my characters race at lvl 50, not with the momentum I had going, and quite frankly after this bullshit I had no desire to. Alas, all things must come to an end, farewell Abandoned Realms.

Oh, yeah, definitely could have been and be handled better, grandfather the ones that were already approved for pete's sake! I don't think any one of us would be upset about that. Their RP was already in place and it's a tall order to require someone to change it all at 50. I've never had any success for a custom race and I never knew why so, for me, whatever the process is is a pain in the ass that's not even worth it anymore. Write a race description, send it along with an application of sorts, RP it out, and get zero feedback.. that's been my experience with it, anyway. So sorry you're going out like this. Best of luck in everything!

Arunore i hope you believe me when i say that you had nothing to do with my rant, i actually enjoyed our interactions and your rp, not to mention all the time we spent together on your custom race. Even after our long conversation we had, you had my respect and i knew if we did meet it would be fun. Hope you do come back, Dimhiri was a good character

Wait a minute, so this guy had a drow ninja at lvl 1 became a tfiel or what ever, but did your base stats stay the same and did the drow vuln stay the same?

If the imms here made a custom race, with custom stats and custom vulns that's insanely stupid. Without advertising what the differences are. I do remember a troll zerker saw him rage and did the flame thing so I just assumed this dude is a fire zerker with a custom race. Good for him to rp into it.

If this is just a fancy title for descriptions and backgrounds who gives a shit if they guy is a drow or half demon with the same stats as a drow.

Good character. Seems like the Imm staff was bullying you about your character after the fact. The waste of 200 hours sucks.

Why would anyone care what this guy is then, the smart thing to do is make the boss of an area the custom race. So for drows make the matron a the Eiffel tower (what I thought of every time I saw Dimhri) for fire giants make the troll the boss simple shit. No need to take a dump in someones cheerios when you want rp this guy gives u rp and you take it away. senseless

Re: "You should've told me in the beginning ya jackasses"

I recall transferring you to an imm room, stripping the title, and telling you exactly why. I also told other imms exactly why. I did this very early in the character's lifetime (before 50).

Someone else reinstated your title against my staunchest objection.

I agree to a point this was handled poorly but I did my due diligence on this one. CYA = complete

also I don't know why you were so stuck on the "tiefling" name when tiefling is straight up intellectual property of Wizards of the Coast and exists in literally nothing outside official Dungeons and Dragons titles. There's never been anything in AR referred to as a "tiefling". We've always called them "Fell".

Why couldn't you be a Fell or something like a "half-demon"? Why delete over this?

It just screams of asshattery to me.

That's a complete lie, because if an Immortal told me no I would have deleted and kindly made another character. Let's not draw this out anymore than it has to be, because no one here wants to hear it. You came in here with a chip on your shoulder, and for some reason you think because you know how to code you can run rough shot over the people that were here putting in time long after Aeva jumped ship. I would have remembered something like that, the truth of the matter is it didn't happen at all and you know it. Stop making up bullshit lies.

I was already way way passed the prime of my AR career, this character, in fact, was meant to be an outro of my career. I don't know what you got against me, but let it fade in the truth that I'm not here anymore. Just let it go, and please lock the threads if necessary.

oh I posted this in moira's graveyard instead of this one lol

I deleted it from the wrong gy and I'll repost here:

Olyn said the transfer and custrace strip might have been the Mephit character (which was stripped for the EXACT same reason I have a problem with Tiefling)

If that's the case and it wasn't you that I talked to Arunore, then I apologize for not catching this sooner.
