Sidshirr

A tiny boy was born into a family of decent, hard working half-elven laborers. He was named Sidshirr after his godfather, an old traveler of Thera, Shindril. He was a close friend to the family, a real trustworthy and honorable man. Shindril had close relations with some of the guards of Valour as he was one of them in his days of prime. Following his terrifying yet captivating and interesting stories Sidshirr rooted for Valour from a very early age. Sidshirr did have a nice quiet childhood with everything that goes with it - friends, a calm home village, butterflies to chase and crystal clear pools to splash around in. He enjoyed every bit of it but nothing good ever lasts. A shift in the power lines of Thera caused demise not only in big towns like Seringale and Timaran, but also in Sidshirr's home village where regular raids were held by the followers of darkness. It was no longer safe, something had to be done. The village was evacuated of women and children, among them Sidshirr who was trusted into the hands of his godfather Shindril. When the dust of another raid upon the village settled Sidshirr and his mother were already safely in Valour but Sidshirr's father could not be found... or was ever heard from again. These were sad times and most certainly affected Sidshirr thoroughly. He became quiet and quite self-involved, he daydreamed a lot and came up with alternative realities to the one he was in himself. At one point his only link to the reality around him was his lifelong mentor who did not give up on the youngster even when his mind and actions became troubled. Sidshirr was the brat of Valour, roaming the streets aimlessly causing trouble. He did learn a number of more or less useful tricks and skills during those years. Sidshirr grew older and learned to live with his past. What remained inside of him of the horrifying events was being distracted from the world and as he felt ashamed of his mischievous behavior he knew things had to change. His mother had not been around much as it was rough times - food did not appear on the table by magic and so she was forced to work hard to keep herself and Sidshirr alive. His godfather Shindril had joined the Valourian guard once again and was fighting off intruders. As Sidshirr did not have much of a clear goal for his life he was inspired by his childhood hero once again. He made a promise to himself to protect Valour and the values it holds up to the extent of his capabilities. Valour had become dear to Sidshirr as it was a safe-haven compared to the rest of Thera. He intended to keep it that way. Sidshirr was accepted to the guildhall of ninjas, as it seemed to be his calling, and so his journey in Thera begun.
