The righteous path
Born in the forest I was surrounded by nature and all the blessings that Serin could offer. My parents raised me to be strong, brave and independent. My father treated me as if I were boy constantly testing me to be stronger. In his time, he was a great fighter, but I preferred a more subtle approach. Lurking in the shadows wounding and weakening my opponents. My mother taught me to train my mind and learn the importance of patience and cunning. During one of my lessons we could feel the earth tremble as hundreds of men came through our lands. They killed everyone in sight and set fire to my beloved grove. My father told me to hide in the forest, I ran and hide as I was told. The horse men came up to our home and surrounded us. Cackling with glee they charged at my father who quickly parried an attack and slew the first horsemen. The next two followed suit dead to the ground. Poised and ready for the next attack I could see my father growing tired, he did his best to defeat the horsemen, but in the end my father fell with honor and courage to protect our family. They quickly discovered where I was hiding and I was taken away and flung into a small cell chained like a dog living in my own filth. As I grew older, I remembered the patience my mother thought me and kept a solemn peace about me. I trained my mind and body to prepare for any opportunity to escape. On a cold windy night, my captor fell asleep at his post. I picked the lock of the cell door and quietly escaped. I fled though their village to a near by mountain. I scaled it to the peak and hid as best I could. After a few days my lazy captors gave up and returned to their city. I began to make my way back to rebuild the pieces of my life. I kept the ideals instilled within me by my parents and hoped to find others along my journey to share in my quest.

Description:

The diminutive woman before you has a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Just under three feet tall, she is rather slender compared to her kin. Her pale skin has a ruddy cast that is complimented by her blonde hair. Oddly enough at the roots, you see her true hair color giving an overall ombre appeal. As the wind howls about her, you are lost in her hazel eyes and the beating of your own heart begins to increase. Your adrenaline begins to rush then a wave of calmness rushes over you. You try and break your gaze, she puckers her lips up to you. You notice the emerald green lipstick wit tiny diamonds. Your eyes start to close, just as you begin to feel her sweet breathe she begins to giggle and disappears out of sight.

I don't even remember fighting a necro. But this was interesting seeing the benefits of being on the cool kids side with legion with Moriko and being on the cool kids side with the goodies in the game. Both are equally boring, especially with the 2 v 1's. I don't care about the multi kill but damn dude do you ever fight by yourself even if you have a cabal mate on. I remember with Moriko when you sent Rodakki to kill that ranger, I was shocked. I thought to myself damn maybe this guy finally gets it. But nope when you know you have a chance to get beaten here comes the gank squad. Am I the only one who does not find it fun when you are faced with 2 v 1 or 3 v 1? Because if the mindset is oh just run hide and quit why even bother playing.
    1. You killed Eusha when she received the spanking she deserved for harassing ranking group.

LOL, look at all my logs. I fight alone all the time. Why in the fuck would I fight a thief alone if I had an option? You would just blackjack me and break my set again. Fuck thieves. Also it turns around too, being Anathema, there are gank attempts all the time. The difference is, I was better at getting away.

      :/
    2. Man, don't you hate it when shamans cast spells and do shaman things? Why would I ever fight a shaman alone? This is literally how you sound.

I'm glad you think so. You make me laugh, never been my job to play by your rules.
    4. You know I have to give Dogran props for being a proper evil bastard. The dirty tactics, the mega huge raging boner summoning me out of my hidey hole while ranking and landing blasphemies. Been fun fighting you. Keep it up, just don’t rage when we do eventually take you down. Keep being the evil bastard you are. Some evil is too dangerous to be kept alive. We have to throw torments of hell into the fires of grimforge.

I can handle dying, it will happen sooner rather than later I'm sure. I am in it for the fun, setbacks don't bother me. I am curious about a few things though, I have no idea how you escaped last time, blaspheme, two steps gone, no shatter or recall sound...
    7. If your talking about in escismir. I stepped out of the area and quaffed a recall. Last time we fought I just ran my ass off.
    8. "never been my job to play by your rules." I can picture it now: Dogran with a 80's stache, in his dad jeans with socks and sandals, backwards baseball hat, flashing gang signs at his 13 year old and their friends, on occasion tells child he banged their mom last night.

Nope I was talking about in Valour, hit blaspheme, you fled, hit where and you were gone, didn't run past me, you fled away fr the east gate so I was totally baffled.

On a positive note - Excellent change to requesting, if you need all of living wood, you don't have to do each item. A really pleasant surprise and at least I learned that you can engrave unique items, had no idea

Appreciate you raising awareness of that because that's one of the ways we've helped improve the game for good aligns in a way that's tempered. Its nice to see something moderate like that catching attention. Thanks

  4. Should have waited for the team fights before deleting, could have been epic

    1. It’s kinda like all out open season legion vs knight because of the numbers continually swaying and the full loots. People take that very personally. Quitting out to avoid the disadvantage just puts a target on your back in my opinion. Dogran is right though it’s been lopsided to both sides

I have raised this complaint numerous times. Why have imbalanced fights with cabals? That is something that I brought to keepers is when I was leader and someone was flagged to be killed, I basically said who wants him and deployed that person and they had a 1 v 1 fight. I mean if you are ganking someone 2 v 1 are you having fun when you kill the person with ease? How much fun is it if I make a half ass attempt to attack you in my cabal flee, hide and quit? The obvious decision here is I don't want my torments of hell set broken so time to gank! If flee and quit, then wait for a team fight, so I keep fleeing and quitting until the odds are fair or in my favor? Thats not fun. When I fought Rodakki that was fun, had he used aura more it probably would have gone his way mistakes were made. But to just sit in someones cabal to force a 2 v 1 fight just seems lame. Honestly to me that goes on cabal leadership not the player. If Thorgoth would say wtf why are 2 of you attacking 1 knight how does that strike fear, show me what you are made of, that would be awesome. I mean on both sides good and evil you guys do an amazing job of keeping people geared to the teeth. Why do you need to gank? You spend 4 hours killing the dragons winter all this shit to spam eq and then when you get a chance to use it. The response is fuck yeah someone to kill lets get him lol

And on the flip side I had 3 evil justices, how many times did a Knight Crusade against me, the exact number of HOE characters I have. ZERO. But when my sweet little Moriko level 42 drow shadow is in my guild big bad Executor Rhoa at level 50 has all the courage respect and honor to crusade like really? 8 level advantage give me a break guys.

There's def an unwritten rule that fighting someone with a lvl advantage is lame. But it's unwritten. There is a reason exp penalties and pk ranges exist. If you're in pk range you're fair game. So don't whine about fighting with a lvl disadvantage. Play human warrior if you want and avoid that, or even flip it and you be the one with the huge advantage.

Fighting a low ranking Knight as a rank 5 and 4 Legion is definitely cheesy and lame. Everyone knows that and everyone judges them for it. But it isn't against the rules. Killing that low rank Knight and looting and then ganking him again after he unghosts is even more lame and imo borderline rule breaking, but my opinions on borderline rules don't matter lol so again they haven't done anything punishable, just lame.

But sometimes that's just how it goes. You gank and you get ganked. Not everyone will agree on which aspects are fun and which are unfun. In fact I myself couldn't even blanket say. If I'm geared up and fighting against 2 people at once who are worse than me (this is in fantasy land and hasn't ever actually happened in real life because I suck) then maybe that would be fun. On the flip side, getting totally wrecked by 2 people at once who could both easily kill you alone is not fun (this one I do know from experience lol). But it may be fun for them, I can't say it isn't. It's just part of the game I guess. But if there's a reasonable way to change it that makes sense and is agreed upon then why not? Adapting and changing is good. But we can't go changing things just because Ozaru (or anyone, myself included) says they don't like it.

And as far as Knights crusading against Justice. I think that's just another kind of unwritten culture thing, that could change depending on what leadership decides they want to do. But for the most part Knights want to stick to killing Legion and in order to do that you can't waste resources starting wars with the Justice cabal.

Ozaru, you complained about gangbangs after making 3 evil Justices? Justices gangbang anybody with a wanted flag themselves. And you are definitely overanalyzing things. The only goal of the Forsaken of Legion is to become geared af. We all made Legions and know how to politic it. You gangbang your ass off until you're supergeared and then you begin 1v1 everybody saying gangbanging is bad until you lose your gear

It is called Honor. It's Honor from a player standpoint, not the character. That unwritten rule is followed by a lot of folks, but not everyone follows it, nor do they have to. The best thing about AR is you can help shape what kind of world / economy you're living in.

So if you don't like how a group or one person behaves, change the economy IN the game. Because you can with enough dedication and effort, but everytime you delete you delay that change and with that delay, you constantly enter it again upon character creation.

I felt this way against a couple of Justices years ago, they would only fight people of lesser skill and sat inside their guild when a viable threat logged on. Many people here know when to run and know when to hide, it doesn't make them a bad character or player, it's just part of the game man.

Like that one cat says, know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away..

you never count your money. when its sittin' on tha table!

i don't think economy is the right word, someone help me.

it's a chess game. you can make change is what i'm saying through character.

Just make an uncaballed thief, steal his stuff, run and quit. Then log on your other guy and kill him.

        This is the way.

no no no. you make an uncaballed thief, secretly bring back Assassins, and kill them all one. by one.

then kill justices on sight as they have priority over rats even

@arunore the word you’re looking for is culture. To hamsandwiches point exploiting any pk advantage is pretty lame. But there are a lot of people that do this purposefully. DKs sitting at 30 fireballing everything at 25 and the brutal gauntlet that is 42-50 come to mind
            1. Slaughtering everybody at 8 rank disadvantage is one thing.
Attacking the guy for one round of combat, not chasing chase at all...zero, and letting him instantly run to take the Oath. Well, that's is another thing.
There's always more more than one perspective.

The point being you have no problem crusading against a lvl 42 drown shadow but you are pretty silent against a lvl 50. Why is a drow justice exempt from your crusade

              1 , 0 , 0 .
Rhoa, I can get behind something like that. If only everyone had the sense of “honor” or gamesmanship Arunore described. @ozaru, from what I’ve seen Rhoa is pretty hyper aggressive. In her shoes I’d be going after a drow justice but I wouldn’t give them the advantage of a flag going after them in protected areas. I’m sure evil justices never sit in protected areas or run back to protected areas to avoid being the target of a crusade, who would do that?

I've tried to do it. Troubles I found with good align thieves are that (A) backstabbing vs protection, although that was more annoying with the legion thief I made (B) too many anti-good daggers and too much orderly slapped on good-align rares (C) hoarding good aligns you can't take the good shit from. Its a rough ride.
