Description:

The small frail body of this creature is hovering effortlessly above the ground. Dark burnt orange skin covers this being, from the end of its tail to the tip of its wings. Droplets of blood fall to the ground from its charcoal grey talons that gently tremble at the end of its thin arms and legs. Tall pointy ears erect sturdily from his head. Seen flailing about behind his body is a tail that has a bulbous tip that comes to a sharp curved point.

  1. Invokers are cheese. Being able to slow yourself isn't the problem. Channeling is...when channeling a spell, it can hit three times before the opponent gets their second round of combat in. That's pretty stout for any race to take that kind of damage, especially if it's a fire giant taking it from ice storm. Before they get a second round of attacks in, their HP is already at 50%

    Sure, kick stops channeling, but I will just recast, get the initial damage from casting the spell, as well as the damage it's going to hit the beginning of next round.

    Shield spell now reduces damage, couple that with sanc, and the fact when the shield pops it casts level 50 heal on you... I literally felt invincible with 1200 hp.

    Enchant armor is kinda pointless now too.

      I was just talking to Kedaleam about ice storms issues. Probably not even four days ago. I've been aiming to get a bugfix in for double ice storms this weekend. Unfortunately it is going to look knee jerk now you've posted that, but eh, double-cast ice storms is a severe bug. There are also bugs with trying to cancel the channeling, which mitigates the ability to abuse it, and players can just go stand by high level NPC. Its not great, but the sky is not falling on everybody. Just fire giants.

      We talked about the interrupts as well - it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that if your channel is interrupted, you can just recast that spell right away.

      As for the shield, so far I'm happy with that. Eventually I would rather ice shield/fire shield/etc require your shield to be active, as well as modify the pop effect from heal. Maybe next patch. Keep in mind that dark-knight bulwark shares similar properties with invoker shield.
    3. Right now, shield and elemental shields can be used at the same time. When doing this, and your shield pops, the pop effect will be elemental damage and not heal. For instance, if I remember correctly, the the fire shield pops and engulf your opponent in flames.
    4. I don't think getting the effect pops the shield. But that would make a lot of sense to me. In fact, every shield has the potential to grant the elemental debuff you can get from full attunement storms.

      Its been the plan all along, but it was important to have shield put through its paces before we complete the merge. This class is in sore need of some streamlining. Currently, barrier/mana shield is making you choose or the other and then there's protective shield, weapon ward and sanctuary stacked on that. Anyways, the double ice storm bugs been fixed.
