First off, Ravinah is a boss, you can't factor them into the playing field...

Cool beans. So anyone who actually shows you can succeed with skill should not count in proving that a class is viable. Noted.

I don't know about that. I'm like 4-0 against the boss. I think people just tend to freak out when they see an army.
Well, to be fair, Ravinah has lost most of her kick butt stuff. And yeah, she gets her army up and well, herpaderp. I silenced her once, holy hell did she run like a bat out of hell.
He didn't say defense isn't everything but auto sneak is. Lpl. High mana and mana Regen combined with vampiric touch, high dexterity for good base ac, combined with auto sneak if you have to ditch the pets makes for a combo that can be very good in skilled hands. It is not a combo that anyone can pull off, but if you pass the skill threshold for it, you can do very well.
The skill threshold is a bit cliff like, wouldn't you say?
I don't think it impugns the leaderboard leaders to say that theyr'e good enough that any combo's drawbacks won't make a difference to them, but I don't feel like the mana regen is really a good point. If you get into a protracted fight, you'll probably want to run and recorver anyway, and otherwise, they'd be dying too fast for mana regen to mean much.
Uh, you're missing the point... Someone who can run far enough away to use that mana will be better able to use it logically. It's how clerics with autosneak work, presumably the same with drow necromancers...?
I don't think so. The other person would be a bad tracker then. And it's not really any different than a complete "reset" of the combat by sleeping up somewhere.
