Javey was born in the gnome village, which explains his sun disposition.
Although early on his life, he was taken by a dance school and a fearsome
choreographer Shvelt. Shvelt came to the village of gnomes one night,
demanding his fee. He would often go to small defenseless villages and
demand their most talented youth in both dance and song and stage to join
his dance school. It was kidnapping, although it was not at the point of a
knife but rather the threat of a bad reputation that these small villagers
that relied on trade feared. After some time in his school Javey became the
most talented student among the children. He was the lead in every stage
play and sang quite heavenly. Shvelt had let Javey's rising talent, and
thus the increasing support and popularity of his productions get to his
head. He soon began to not pay the boys, and even after resorted to murder
in order to recruit more talent. It was at this time Javey challenged
Shvelt, and bested him. He set all the other boys free, and sought out to
make his name in the world.
Description:
The half man half elf before you burbles drunkenly with no apparent end in sight. Dark black hair is filled with tiny bits of leaves and branches that have fallen from trees and gotten got caught up during his rests, and it smells of ale and perfume as if in some vain attempt to spruce it up. At about average height for a half-elf and a child like figure to match this man doesn't seem very threatening at all.
Shout out to Trarel, Ysette, Marest, Cronnus, Garv, Moren, Sukyen, PHAELYSS, Argarak, Uvet, Xrkzik, Vahn, Kewlin for making each log in something to enjoy. And to anyone I missed!
I almost never used saves (laziness) but constantly fought Xrkzik which never ended well hah. Same for Uvet (I did wear saves vs her sometimes). Died a ton in Winter. Half-elf barter is totally awesome! Kewlin our fights were pretty epic imo. Emancipation song works awesome on special guards! I was waiting for that to get nerfed tho, heh. the quick nerf/"fixes" to bards kind of shifted the class back to junk. i guess me and phaelyss were just winning too much :P
What nerfs are those? I can't remember touching them. Have issues with brawl but havent done anything. Might be bug. Maybe bad memory. Bards actually have a new skill that still waiting to be implemented, not a nerf coming.
The only "nerf" I know of is when I listed the song type in all of the helpfiles so people know which saves to use to defend the various songs. Afaik, bards can also use breaks to help overcome saves.

Olyn is correct, songs do appear to utilize savebreaks properly (they are not broken).
