The Stone Legion
Many dozens of centuries ago, a dwarven kingdom, deep in the mountains of Rahkam flourished. They were a dwarven kingdom that welcomed many races to their doors, and crafted things of wonder. Their strongholds, and clans within were at the height of power. Many magical wonders, filled with the primordial powers of the Elemental Forge. The greater elementals, bound by the magic of the Stone King. Bound with the powerful magic the Stone King possessed, and utilized to bring out prosperity and wonder. Like all things, hubris was their downfall. The Stone King, in his wild experimentations with the magic of the deep earth, his own power drove him mad. With that the Stone Legion was born. An army of dwarves and greater elementals cursed by the mad power of the Stone King. War was waged, and eventually his empire was struck down. Yet the curse of his greed persisted, and in that the Stone King became a thing of undeath. Driven beyond the reaches of madness his experiments continued and his people locked away were enslaved by his power and the might of the Stone Legion. Thelrins story begins long after this kingdom was lost to the ages. Buried so far from the history of Serin, few knew of the lore. Raised in slavery, Thelrin had a cruel harsh childhood. Raised to serve the dark gods, he was groomed to be one of the sacrifices to the dark power. As all things are want, the seals keeping them trapped faded and the ruined city found adventurers in it's depths. A great battle happened underground, and the Stone Legion which for so long had been frozen in their statued forms rose again and fought. In the chaos Thelrin took his chance and escaped. Longing for something new, he stole some supplies and fled to the underdark. It seemed like years he spent underground, plagued by horrible nightmares and strange visions he found himself one day in a place unlike anything he had ever heard of. With many colored lights in the sky, and a white sphere up in the night sky he was filled with awe and wonder at the surface. He would get his due. With those thoughts in mind he set off on his own adventure into the surface world.

Description:

Ashen colored hair peeks out over a wide scarred forehead. Deep set, eyes glowing with the red light of infravision. Atop them, extremely bushy eyebrows make his eyelids hard to see. Below them, an overly large hooked nose, that with it's crooked set and scarred visage has obviously been broken and set improperly many times. His mouth and face is wrapped in a long, ash colored scraggy beard. A wide almost non-existent neck leads to thick broad shoulders and arms like giant pythons. Also heavily scarred, they are short like this figure before you. His arms end in hands that almost seem unable to open fully due to all the scar tissue. Finally, while his torso is wide, his waist tapers down to a strangely narrow point, ending in legs that swell out like tree trunks, although there is something strange about the shape of his knees...

Helped you level a bit, but never got to fight you. Makes me sad.

Any shaman insights you're willing to share? I know you weren't around that much but you were the most formidable shaman I've seen in quite some time. My interactions with Thelrin left me pretty impressed.
    1. What kind of insights are you looking for? I actually didn't spend that much time doing much of anything. My first pk death, was at the training dummy, I was even at the computer, I looked away for all of 10 seconds to answer a question my wife asked me. It ended quick, but I got my revenge, and my revenge was NOT an afk kill. The paladin death, was me chasing after an illusionist and the illusionist got a paladin to save him, and then I pursued the fight when I shouldn't have. Hasted paladin, with the illusionist just following me when I fled basically gauranteed that I died with new combat mechanics. Healer was embarressing, I got outdamaged by a healer in a noexit, and died at the same instant recall went off, so the healer killed me but my body ended up in my temple. Last death was right before I deleted, and the tenor justice was able to fight me without aura due to the fact that I got half purged.

Anyways, I made this intending to have lots of fun with legion, but then accepted some extra responsibility, and chopped my playtime by an order of magnitude, which ended up with me getting half purged last month. Then the justice not needing aura, and seeing guild issue in my corpse, still felt he needed to loot/sac all my rares after not speaking two words to me was super trashy. (Justice started the fight, not that I wasn't going to pick one, but still.)

A cautious shaman should never ever die. I had several interesting mob-deaths before 30, and should have deleted and recreated and slowed the hell down.
    2. Look at all the guild issue items in this corpse.

      The corpse of Thelrin holds:
      a smoldering black mace
      a heavy backpack (open)
a superior golden girth of perfection
(Humming) a pair of red-tinged dragonscale pauldrons
      (Humming) some black-tinged dragonscale legplates
a superior golden breastplate of perfection
(Glowing) (Humming) a scarab of death
(Glowing) (Humming) a bracer of torment
( 2) the shrunken head of the Darkenbeast
a small sardonyx encompassed in gold
      a small tent
      an emerald-green guild-issue cape
a deflective guild-issue amulet of grounding
(Glowing) (Humming) a deflective iron-black band of shielding
(Glowing) (Humming) a dragonwing iron-black band of homing
a pair of deflective demonskin boots of defiance
the horned head of the Darkenbeast
      a pale blue stone
a battered iron helmet of perfection
      (Glowing) a magic seashell
      a sandy keep key
      a small stone key
      a small skeleton key
(Glowing) (Humming) a blackened crystal rose
      8088 gold coins

Got a few questions here if anyone is willing to answer and share some knowledge. Where are iron ores found? Where to forge iron armor? What benefits does it give?

Found in Enthema. One of the deurgar slave drops it when you kill him. Use the forge in Grimforge. Produces damroll gear. It's an alternative for drow who can't pick up silver ore.
    5. I was negative both con, str, and dex because of lost optimizations due to my purge. On top of that, I was down my 15 mental and aff break, and down 5 hitroll and 10 damroll.
    6. Ultimately the fault lies with me for fighting when I wasn't fully prepared. I just expect people to behave decently, and not shitty for no reason. Was pretty ridiculous that he fought the entire second engagement without aura until the last 5 seconds when I got him to awful before dying. Berserk and aura at the last second saved him and spelled my loss. That someone can wear max saves and still do that much damage is pretty nuts still.
    7. Nothing personal, but I really do not see how Gulgru was being shitty for fighting you, considering the in-game fact that you are Legion and you had intruded upon the Justice cabal during my watch before. If you did not want to fight, you could have easily just gone back to any protected towns and you are safe.
Of course, you did mention that it was ultimately your own fault for deciding to fight when not fully prepared, but I don't think that he is being shitty because of that.

Gulgru is fully decked out in Tenor set with some of the best in slot weapons, so even if he swapped out some pieces to get the saves he needed, I would expect that he is still dishing out good damage, especially since you can't utilize the protection spell against him and I believe he wasn't using magical attacks against you. He is also a competent player from my experience dueling him so I am actually not surprised that he won you.
    8. Who said anything about him fighting me being shitty? I was talking about the basic full loot with no prior interactions, when I was in fact being a good sport fighting when I had no reason to.
    9. For the paladin and illusionist death - illusionist hasted me and then stayed out of the fight. As you fled I followed you and I didn’t even have to murder because we were already in combat. I purposefully didn’t cast any spells so I would have no lag. That way every time you fled and tried to run away I just walked in the direction you fled and continued the fight. Hotun the Jotun has quick reflexes!
    10. I sacrificed 1 bracer or the neck piece I don't remember. I took the green gauntlets because I needed them. The rest of your dragonscale armor and the other bracer of torment or neck piece went to the auction house along with the spiked gauntlets I had that I replaced with yours. You could have easily bought your stuff back which Kryton has done on numerous occasions and lost 1 piece of armor total. You seemed pretty hell bent on trying to kill me when I didn't use aura which was to bait you into staying in the fight which you took and died. Had I died, I am pretty sure I wouldn't be walking around in anything close to tenors right now. So if anyone was being a good sport here it was me, by leveling the playing field a bit.

I don't know what kind of interaction you are expecting, but evil against evil and you are a legion. Honestly I didn't even look at you when we fought, for someone who was "half purged" you sure had a pretty nice suit of armor. You have giant strength to mitigate strength loss, maybe you meant int loss because dex loss you don't have it. You could have easily bought a break stone ring if you wanted to take this fight seriously.

"I was talking about the basic full loot with no prior interactions, when I was in fact being a good sport fighting when I had no reason to." --- what the hell did you log into the game to accomplish as a legion?
    11. I've never bought back my equipment
    12. you misunderstood, you have sacrificed eq and put critical eq on the auction block for the person to buy back
    13. I pick cabals to pk, I loot for only a couple of reasons (Except in special cases where rp dictates otherwise), and that is to get improvements, I am low on coin, or my cabal mates need gear and I have a reasonable expectation that I will be able to give them quick improvements. I much prefer being able to quickly fight again. The looting after getting purged (Because of a bug), was just the icing on the cake of a decision I was already considering due to time constraints.

You get a heavy backpack from the corpse of Thelrin.
You get a superior golden girth of perfection from the corpse of Thelrin.

You get a blackened crystal rose from the corpse of Thelrin.

This is the gear I got back from my corpse, which funny enough, the only rare that remained, was the one I had just gained two minutes before the fight to replace a guild issue light.

I'll also note that the saves were all guild issue slots, that I dumped the trashy or fractured guild issue and replaced with saves from my sack so as to have better AC.

If you wanted to set back the Legion and make sure they are off your ass for a good while, full looting was the most effective tactic. However, its kind of a sledgehammer approach, it comes with a high price tag. That being the elevated likelihood of delete. The player who deletes usually feels righteous in doing so as a full loot makes that seemingly justified, and their fellow logboarders will not judge them for that, as it means in simple terms, its going to be less "fun" for everyone at level 50 for a while. It makes the person doing it look like a school bully type. If on the other hand you prefer a little finesse, just something to exact some suffering then take ONE obviously coveted rare from them, like a hard to get weapon or something. This way the player experiences all the same anger of losing a thing they have grown attached to, but will look like a huge baby if they delete a cabal character over that. Because its one fuckin' rare. That, by the way, is why even the most shitty pk'er on AR can be a menace at 50, and get rid of those prone to temper tantrums. All it takes is to roll a thief and go relieve someone of their boots who can't cope
    15. This.
    16. If a sporting fight 1v1 = no looting then when you fought a 2v1 against me, I was sporting enough to fight the 2v1 and you looted me. Took my weapons. Granted you destroyed a few items and left the rest inside your cabal, but in a 2v1 no looting?

Being a wolf but crying wolf when you are the sheep.
    17. lol, situation is quite different. One, you persisted and kept trying to kill my weaker cabalmate invading, and summoning him away while we were trying to fit him. See the above mentioned where I said I only loot to gear cabal-mates or if someone is particularly annoying. You fit both.
    18. I only looted to to outfit my cabal mate, does that make you a baby now or am I still the bully?
    19. No you didn't. You sold me two of the dragonscale items you took from his corpse.
    20. I love it, when I'm sitting here wondering if someone is just an idiot or too lazy to read, and then you post and remove all doubt. I clearly said that the goofy annoying paladin fit both, providing loot for my team, and deliberately being annoying so he got extra. Everyone who posts after this about the looting is an idiot, as I also clearly stated that I was already considering deleting when I was given an extra nudge. Now with that said, I am not responding to this thread again.
    21. I wasn't talking to you Thelrin. I was talking to Gulgru and pointing out he was lying.
    22. My bad, I'll at least pop back in to apologize to Caobura then. I was a little salty yesterday.(Long day)
    23. No worries. We all have good and bad days - this goes both for AR and RL. I'm sure the American players among us have been dealing with the complex tax system implemented by the Internal Revenue Service to some degree or other... It took me two tries for my electronic filing to be accepted today.
    24. I actually read the logs of the fights you were in and this is hilarious. You attack a level 30 illusionist is just laughable and the tables turn and get full looted and you complain about that. Then you and the strongest player in the game go 2v2 against knights and full loot sac someone that is 0-15 on pks. You get a 1v1 lose 2 items and cry that the world is unfair and that trash silent pks lol.
